Can you post a picture of it or a link to one on ebay? I searched for it, but found too many different things that I wasn't sure were it or would work.

If you have an old computer power supply kicking around you can make a nice power unit. I think you get 3, 5, and 12 volts out of them. I used to use one for my charger, as well as when my kids were babies I wired one to their battery operated baby rocker swings so I wasn't replacing D size batteries all the time!

Not sure what voltage is too much for the motor checkers, guess I'll have to see if it's in the manual.

So, I tried a 15 amp buck VR off ebay, adjusted to 8.4V - it browned out and the Motor Checker rebooted. So the motor start up is drawing more than 15 amps.
One of these days I need to get a good multimeter so I can check amp draw on start up.

Touching back to an earlier post in this thread, anyone found anything bad has resulted in testing a motor that is attached to the esc? Of course it would not be connected to a power source. I hate soldering and unsoldering to check timing or change it.

Nope, no issues. I've done it many times like this and I've even left it in the car but removed the pinion gear. However, it makes timing adjustments more difficult if the motor screws are hard to get to.

Has anyone have any issues with their motor checker showing crazy amp numbers??? I'm talking 50's-90's with even low timing (different motors tested).

Is there any way to fix this?

Reviving an old thread.
I've had my motor analyzer for a few years now and it has worked flawlessly. A great tool.
Took it out of the box the other day to run a check on my motor to check the settings prior to taking the motor apart to clean. Got an error message saying to check the ABC wires. Checked the wires and connection points, NO issue. Tried another motor and got the same error message.
Anyone run into this? And any fixes for the error?
thanks
Cliff
