G-Force Motor Checker

A cheaper alternative to Trinity's expensive little unit. Worth taking a look.

Yes it works well. Ive already sold a ton of them here. There are two things I have asked them to change.

1. It will only measure timing up to 50 degrees. They are updating this.
2. It will not measure timing on a 21.5 unless you hook it to a 9V min power supply. It has to reach a certain RPM before it will take the timing reading and a 21.5 doesnt reach that at less than 9V.

They are going to update these two things. Other than that it works awesome at a fraction of the cost.

Not even the same thing. Maybe a useful tool, but not even the same.

The only thing it doesnt give is the timing per sensor to see how far out the board is. Which is useful information to find a good efficient sensor board. But other than that it checks the same stuff. But the Gforce does it in sensored mode. The Motolyzer checkes it in sensorless mode.

You can tell because you can check a motor on the motolyzer and turn the endbell up to 70+ degrees and the motor still runs which is physical impossible if its actually running off the sensors. About 65-66 degrees and they start stuttering and cogging.

But yes both are very useful in their own way.

The difference you noted was what I was talking about.

I stand corrected on the rest of it. When you get them back in I'll buy one.

Looks cool. Might have to get one. Since I only run offroad, I guess it would help find the most efficient timing on a 5.5-7.5 motor. Wonder if it would handle a 1/8th 4 pole motor amp draw?

I am not sure what the max amp draw is for the unit but it does have a selection for up to a 10 or 12 pole motor!

For those of us in the UK, this will shortly be available through Zen Racing according to Mr S.

Do you know when the updates will be done?

Will you ship to Indonesia?
Thank you

Donnie P - G-Force is Japanese based, so you should be able to find something locally (within Asia). But, by all means, you can order from EA.
