Hello guys.
So our indoor season is starting up. We race on a hard packed track. Usually dusty/low bite.
I got some new Dirt Webs in Gold and J Concept medium inserts.
The guys at the track were saying that its too firm of a tire to get any traction. I went to practice and the rear was on ice.
Once tires are glued , is there any way to disassemble them to remove the insert and modify it and then replace it? Or once glued, its done?
What do you guys do to modify the insert for indoor tracks with low bite?
Also, when do open cell inserts work in rear buggy (22 2.0) tires? I always choose closed cell foam. Don't know what the diff. between the two are handling/weather wise.

Just wondering if someone can help with compounds. Our track runs gold dirt webs or barcodes on 2wd buggy and was wondering if it would be the same to run silvers? I know they break in faster but is the compound very close to gold or will it be a noticeable difference?

Hara did a really cool video a while back. Don't know if its on YouTube or not. And it was for 1/8 scale, so if you are doing it for 1/10 scale which really doesn't take the force, Im going to assume it will work.

Basicly, take a brand spankin new Xacto blade and cut just above the glued bead on the inner sidewall. Remove old foam, insert new foam and re-glue. run a small bead on the outside as well just for security.

Or you can soak one side in acetone and hope you can re-glue them after. Hasn't worked for me yet though.

For tires, try the Splitters or Hybrids. They both work very well on loose dusty tracks around here.

I would findout for yourself about the open and closed cell foams. I haven't liked closed cells for most of the tracks I run.

Greens will be closer to the Golds. The silvers are just a touch softer than the greens.

I hope JC come out with 1/10 2wd front double dee's. I like the PL front hole shots but I always liked the double dee's better.

I believe Gold and Silver are both made with the same type of rubber which is more natural for indoor damp clay tracks. Silver is a touch softer though which is why it breaks in faster.

Are SC dirt techs in the works or can I use 8 scale foams in my SC tires?

Nothing planned at the moment, but keep an eye out for some new 1/10th stuff

If 2wd buggy and 2wd SC are both pretty much exclusivly on soft or ss holeshots front and rear in both classes (told that clay don't work). Which JC would I want to look into?

I don't think so.

Yes on cutting the the tire to change inserts. NO on using Acetone with a clay compound tire. It will "kill" the tire.

For the love of God, please come out with a better looking Tekno ET48 body . . . I'm begging
