You can find those cars used at the flea markets/junk shops for under $20. Throw a 12v lawnmower battery in it, and it will cook right along.
Haha, not a bad idea at all. Will defiantly keep it in mind!

No word of a lie, I saw one of these electric cars at the flea market today, and thought of you.

You should add your location, you might be right near it.

1 servo to rotate on axle which will turn the wheels left or right
1 radio control system (this is my biggest issue)
Look for a large scale, or 1/4 scale, servo for steering. They are available at a variety of price points.

Most any radio system should work. But one thing to consider, do you want just throttle and steer channels? Or more channels to do other things? Basic car radios are 2 channel, models with more channels are available. Separate brakes for example, or lights, etc. (being a Lambo a scissor door opener would be cool )

My main problem is finding a radio control system along with the best ideas for motors, etc.
  1. A Radio Control System (Transmitter and Receiver).
  2. Motors suitable for the size and weight of your car.
  3. Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) to regulate motor speed.
  4. A rechargeable battery pack.
  5. Optionally, servo motors for additional functions like steering.
  6. A sturdy chassis and steering mechanism.
  7. Proper wiring and electronics connections.
  8. Testing and calibration for optimal performance.
Start by researching and purchasing these components, then follow tutorials or seek assistance from hobbyist forums for guidance on assembly and programming.

How in the world did you find and revive this 10 year old thread?

And why?

Gotta say, pretty impressive dude dug 10 years worth of threads and decided to post in it. Though he might’ve search and didn’t see the date.
Still hilarious imo

He's only got 4 posts. Might be a bot or maybe just a newbie that didn't think to check how old the post was. I'm sure we'll live through it somehow.
