Comes with 12 gauge. Tekin says there is no reason to go any bigger. I am pretty sure I saw that in one of the rx8 threads, they are so big it's hard to remember exactly where.

No not really. The stock BEC on the Rx8 Gen2 is already a 7 amp unit at 6v and 8v.

I knew it had an internal BEC. I was guessing that an additional one would take some load off the ESC thus reducing heat ?

You can only run one BEC, either the internal one or an external one, can't use them together.

The T8i is a different size can then the T8 gen 1 and T8 Gen 2, thus making the PCB's different as well. The T8 Gen 1 and 2 are the same PCB however.

Any reason why this USB cable wouldn't work for my android with hotwire? I plug it in and it just says hotwire is not connected. Heard some talk about some special USB spec it has to be, but wasn't sure what it was.

It just a guess but you are probably not pushing the USB connector in far enough. You have to push it pretty hard until you hear it click into place.

I did the same thing when I first got it. Couldn't figure out what was wrong, tried two different cords then I (out of frustration) I pushed hard on the plug and it clicked in.

Worked fine ever since.

You mean into the hotwire box?

Also is this app still considered to be in beta, or has the name in the store not been changed? I'm a little hesitant to use the app on a race day if still not ready for prime-time.

Yes, the end that goes into the Hotwire box you need to push it very firmly in.

You'll fell and hear it click. As I mentioned I had the same problem. Hopefully that works for you.

Thanks, I accidentally posted this in a different thread, seems it's not an OTG cable from the response I got there.

I'll share it here again just incase ;-)

The cable needs to be a otg cable in order to power the Hotwire. The 2.0 don't need it and can pull power from the RX8, but I'd prefer not to.

Here is a good cable to use: http://amzn.com/B00BFYH11Q

And to add to it. The app may still be in beta (thats a question for Randy) but it works fine. I've been using it for months. You shouldn't worry about using it.

I'm sure your right, but I've been in the software biz for 15+ years and have seen how the "beta tag" gets used and abused
