Hey guys, I think I have a bit of a problem. I am currently running a Hotbodies D8 with JR Digital Servos and DX3R with SR3100 reciever.

My problem is this, recently the steering servo has started to rapidly shake from side to side after it centers itself. If I tough the wheel while it is doing this, it stops. But whenever I turn the wheel and let it center again it shakes again. It seems that this is also drastically reducing the the charge life of the reciever pack.

Just wondering whether anybody could shed some light on what may be causing this issue? Whether it be a servo or reciever problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it is very possible that it is the servo... if yo have another one to try see what happens. servo motors start to shake when they are going bad. i would just try another servo and see what happens

I too have the same issue that I've never had before. I currently have 5 cars bound to the same DX3R without any trouble. I recently bound a SR3100 with a Hitec 7995 digital servo to the DX3r and if the transmitter is within a few feet the steering servo shakes until I move the transmitter away. Havent spent to much time trying to figure it out yet cause its not my main car but none of the others do it. I have yet to swap out Rxs from another car to trouble shoot.

Thanks for the tips guys. Tried a few things this morning and nothing helped so I got a mate to check it out before we started to run in the new motor.
Well it seems as though it was a combination of a few different things. Firstly, we had to put little rubber spacers between the servo and the radio tray. Then we discovered that it was overtightened. And the linkage between the Servo and Sevo-saver was not quite flat so we spaced that out a little and it seems to have solved the proble. I will be keeping a close eye on itfrom now on though to see if the problem resurfaces.

I had a similar issue that would surface from time to time. I finally determined it was a faulty solder joint on the spectrum micro reciever circut board.

Hey guys, I just joined the forum. I am 16 and into most sports and what not, decided to get into remote control cars, good move, not for me. I bought a cheap 1/16 one on eBay as recommended by friends of my dads as good to thrash. I had issues getting mine started, they recommended that I put a more powerful spark plug in there, did the trick. Although it then decided to accelerate and steer itself :/. None of us really have enough knowledge to work out what the issue is. From reading I thought that it may be the steering servo? Any comments and ideas would be awesome! Cheers.

I currently use in my Xray RX8 1/8 Scale Onroad the KoPropo RSX Servo's and myself recently have had the similar issue, where the servo would start to hunt back and forth to neutral. From what I have been told by Robert Morris KOPropo USA (My Sponsor that is just Awesome) is that on Digital Servo's from time to time they need to adjust the brake response of the servo specific to deadband of intial return to neutral or something along those lines. I'm sure Robert would be able to answer this question more to the technical aspect of why this does occur and what you could do to mitigate the issue. However please note this is for only KO Propo Brand of RSX Servo's not the JR Digital Servo. Although I would recommend to perhaps contact there support site and ask the similar question.

Hey I know this was quite a while back but I've had the same problem with my eb4 s2 but both the servos are moving by themselves I am a starter to all this so I was wondering whether anyone could give me any help thank you

Mine ended up being my radio transmitter of all things. Really a process of elimination. Substitute known working receiver and servo one at a time. Friend had a carbon fiber chassis causing his glitch. Pretty much a process of elimination.
