Not even close. Just a disappointed ae customer that expected a lot more with the amount of good 4WD cars on the market right now.

I would think so, maybe you would need new diff housings if the bearing diameter changed.
AE rep patiofurniture didn't touch on that in the past couple pages but he talked about the C-Diff not being a bolt in so I would think he would have mentioned the f & r diffs too if they were not compatible with the .2 housing.

Making assumptions, would be nice to hear it from AE.

So I guess that an SC10 4x4 is sharing a chassis with the B44 in the future. With the release of the B44.3 we can see some really good improvements but not enough to support a 4x4 Short Course truck. I am very pleased with the changes and would like to test those new diffs in my B44.2.

You are getting the car that won the 2013 world's and this year's cactus classic. Plus a few added features. But sounds like unless you get some metric screws and new arms(p.s the arms have been slightly beefed up recently) you aren't happy. To say this buggy won't be competitive with any of the other offerings available ill advised.

Nobody is forcing you to buy one either.

Isnt that the same car everyone runs now?

Who said anything about metric screws?

I run Team C these days, so you can say it would be hard to peg me as an AE fanboy. The B44.2 as is, is a solid performer. I have some minor issues with it as does any driver with just about any car, but nothing would stop you winning a race with it.

Are there better cars out? Yes, though most of what is better is really personal driving taste. For me, I tried the 410, 44.2 and will be going to the TM4. Before that I've had a MR-BX, and well, many more.

You can do well with the 44.2 or the 44.3 if you want to stay AE. If not, try something else.

Yes they fit without modification per the B44.3 thread

Hi guys, my question is a combination of motor and b44.2.

What gearing (pinion and spur) are common for the b44.2? What about for a 7.5 turn reedy motor?

Currently am running the 81 (stock spur)/21 and at 20 degrees timing, I ranged 160-170 degrees.

Dropped to 10 degrees timing and was in 170-180.

Dropped to 0 degrees timing and hit 200 degrees >_<

I decided to put in a fan and I dropped back to 170 ish.

I ran another 2-3 packs and I was ranging from 120-130 and 150-160. I found this odd, but wasn't sure if my gearing was off? slipper? etc?

Thanks for any help.

Mash

I use 20/81 myself ,Reedy 7.5, 15 degree timing

Decided not going with the .3.

Just using the center diff and calling it all good.

Not interested buying a .3 and then a another new car soon right after .

No boost right on ESC? Does 21 vs 20 actually make a world difference?

What temps do you get for that setup?

Also is 3mm on the slipper too tight?

Also my batteries are ranging 120 degrees, is that normal o.O

I ran 81/20 with temps around 130 just fine. Perhaps your gear mesh could be a little too tight? Or possibly too much drag brake? I dont think a slipper setting could cause over heating but just in case heres how i set my slipper...

Put a hex wrench in the adjustment hole, pick up the rear end so tires are off the ground, apply small pressure to the front and roll the car until the front tires just start to skip. And if its still a little too loose for the track condition then i do the same but with the rear end on the ground and front raised up. I also run no drag brake.
