Just posted mine for sale, a buddy talked me into going to U4 rock races with him and I don't need 4 cars. This one is the oldest and getting squeezed out.

Great changes and good to see the older kits can take advantage of the upgrades too.

Says its backwards compatible with the slipper so that should mean you don't have to upgrade the motor mounts to run the center diff.

The B44.3 is backwards compatible!

That does not necessarily mean that the B44.2 is forwards compatible.

The center gear diff has larger bearings than the slipper setup, so new larger bearing inserts had to be made and as a result the motor mount slot had to be made bigger. So now there are two new bearing inserts one thats for the gear diff and one that is for the slipper.

The kit comes with both sets of bearing inserts although it does not come with the slipper.

If you wanted to upgrade your B44.2 to accept a center diff, be prepared to get a chassis, motor mount, center bulkhead and center CVA's, top decks, along with the Center gear diff. It is probably cheaper to just buy the whole enchilada with all the new parts.

Is the chassis the same length?

Does it use the new b5 ball cups?

That makes sense, then to convert to C-Diff you would need chassis, motor mount and diff & stuff.
Wonder if they did go with a chassis length between the .1 & .2.

It is the same length as the B44.2.

I don't do pricing, but I believe it should be very close to what the B44.2 was, but now with a lot more goodies!

So in other words its cheaper to go with a new kit for the diffs but cheaper to go with the conversion from schell for the shorty setup

Dont think ill be buying the b44.3 mainly because its not metric. It seems like the best option is the shorty conversion now when i prefer saddles anyway. I can easily buy gear diffs and the newer shocks. Im kinda disappointed.

There has also been a great emphasis on making the chassis flex more symmetrical left-right.

Also updated V2 shocks (same as B5).

Overall a LOT more stuff packed into this kit than before! Note though this an update, not a next gen platform, so it is still standard hardware.

And if keeping it between the pipes is a problem and arms are too fragile for ya! Then RPMs got you covered!
like it. take my money.

No new ball cups like whats on the B5? No new beafier arms like whats on the B5? It still has the came length chassis as the .2 which sucks? WTF are you guys thinking over there? Do it right or don't bother doing anyhting. I won't be buying one

The B5 ball studs are metric threads and there are some other slight offset issues with using those ball studs, so you wouldn't have the same geometry since the B44 was not originally designed around those ball studs then there would be compromises.

The chassis length is your OPINION. Daimon just got 2nd at the Jconcepts Indoor Nats, and of course Steven used this length to win the worlds. The chassis length is tuning option and there happen to be quite a few more benefits with the longer car over a shorter one, and the new center gear diff the car is more hooked up than ever! So I wouldn't be so quick to condemn it before it is even out. It is easy to say "oh, this is the same car we've already had...etc", but I assure you it is not!!

Whatever, I think it's a nice progression. Especially if the price didn't get jacked up much.
Throw on some RPM arms and race it

The chassis length seems to be a lot of "team guys" opinion also. Again, make the car right or don't bother. The Losi 4 WD is looking good right now
