I did notice the difference when going from radio to radio. El cheapo MX sport to a MT4 was a difference. MT4 to a M11X was a difference. Best combo I have found is using the M11x receivers with my MT4 in FHS3 mode. I think the standard MT4 receivers are horrible. I don't use telementry so those receivers seemed to have a lag.
The rx461 is as fast/faster than the fhss3 receivers. And again! I've used the mxsport receiver with the mt4 and didn't notice a difference in a mod sedan.
The feel of the remote is more important than the actual latency.

I have not felt this. Maybe you can help me with the popper set up of the RX461. I had the radio set to fhs4 frequency. Was this not correct? In this mode the latency was annoying and way delayed compared to what I have now. This is not a sarcastic post either. If you know the correct set-up please let me know.

Of course I just switched from an older radio from another manufacturer. Perhaps that makes it easier for me to appreciate the difference...

Does the SHR mode work with all servos? I run Savox 1258's and was told by another person(who could've been wrong) running it in this mode would kill my servo. Is this correct or BS? If it is BS, I will try to run those receivers that way tomorrow. Maybe the masses don't run the radio in the correct mode and that is why the latency seems so terrible.

SHR could work with any digital servo (n.b.:could, not will).
SSR only works with certain Sanwa servos (i.e. the "SRG" line)

The MT4S manual says that SHR mode works with ANY BRAND of digital servo (page 53). Like Dirk said, the SSR mode only works with the SRG series Airtronics servos.
Airtronics claims that SHR mode will improve a servo's response time even above the servo manufacturer's specifications (Bottom of page 52).

I run mine Savoxes 1258, 1267 and 1268 with 461/462 receivers in FH4T/SHR mode w/o any troubles.
You can compare freq and pulse width of your servo with same parameters of your RX. And i highly doubt about incompability of any digital servo from top brands with RX in digital mode, it's like making 1/8 buggy for US market non-legal to ROAR rules.

And again, I think the bigger change going from say, a SpektrumDx2s to an mt4s is the feel. Anyone switching brands like that always says, "Oh yeah this radio is much faster! I'm turning in too early now and it feels like I steer better!" The radio's settings and the feel of the wheel plays a bigger role in that, over 2-3ms.
I've run Airtronics' best receiver against its worst receiver in the same car and noticed 0 difference. Now, I'm not the greatest driver in the world, but I'm no scrub either. I was TRYING to notice a difference, to justify the price disparity, but I couldn't. I drove both cars the exact same.
