Agree ^

Start with greens and 37 front, 32 rear outdoor.
Indoor smooth, no huge jumps, maybe pinks 35/30.

With the green front spring are you supposed to go with 35w /1.2 pistons ? I'm running 32w 1.2 pistons . I run mostly on big outdoor tracks with big jumps that have downside landings to them with low grip dusty I'm thinking heavier on the oil it will calm down the steering . I'm thinking about using the 8 hole piston 1.2 in the rear shocks I send of 1.3 .

Can use any piston really, just depends on the pack your looking for. Your xray piston pack came with a few so try out different setups. I did prefer a staggered piston setup when I was running conventional pistons. I had 8x1.3 & 8x1.4 and liked it better than all 1.3's.

Thanks for the replies. Not too far from where I was with the stock chassis so I'll just try a few different combos out. Didn't know if anybody had found a really solid setup with the Bce chassis. Look forward to trying it out. All stock truck was very competitive first race out after about 2yrs of being out of 4wd SC

When I swapped chassis there was not much if any change needed other than ride height and droop reset.
I will say though that the bce is lighter so too much higher rate than green may send you bouncing along on the track or way over dampened trying to counter that.

I have a setup at Petit with Tekno pistons (Chris) but was 37.5wt 1.3 front & 35wt 1.4 rear. 1.3's all around drop down to 32.5. Sounds like thats where your at anyway. My setup may not be your setup so go with yours or maybe take a piece or two of mine to try out throughout the day. I would say any setup sheet with a stock chassis can be thrown on the bce and if its a loose track setup it would probably be a good starting point if your looking for a loose track setup.

I have been messing around with longer front camber link and less front kickup among other things so I may be posting a new one if I see improvements.

Fq, I assume you are on fioroni pistons? I'm on 8x1.3 and think it feels great(as far as what I've tried). What did you feel when u switched over? Thinking about picking up 3 sets and converting all my cars over.

Yes, Fioroni. More planted to the track. Hard to put a finger on it but it was worth a second on a 20 second track. The faster rebound keeps the rubber in contact better but not as lively and springy as a traditional 2 stage piston... still a little mute like a regular piston in comparison. I run indoor so that's a big plus.

I am real tempted to open the back set's holes 0.1 to get back to a staggered setup but it would suck if it didn't work out

There is a lot more pack so you have to go crazy low in oil weight.

Setup is such an individual thing, like a golfers swing and his clubs, a hockey player and his skates and stick and just like Nascar drivers they don't all run the same setups at the same track not even teammates with the same car manufacturer. I like a soft truck that rolls well, so I like a high roll center but since this truck turns in so well I run a high roll center but with long camber links. 3 on the towers and all the way out on the hubs. Fioroni pistons pink spring F black R, 32.5 F and 30 R. Now all your other settings matter greatly also. I'm on a medium traction small indoor track lots of turns and little doubles that u basically roll over.

I liked them on the SC10 4x4, but figured the cone shape of the tekno pistons accomplished the same thing with a simpler design.

i have them in my 410, and they seem fine to me. good quality and the design is interesting. the truck seems smoother to me, no negatives that i can detect...

cool thanks.

loved how they were in the past on my Sc10 4x4.

What kind of oils and spring combo did you end up with using them?

I've been running them for almost a year now. great pistons. I've run on high bite clay to no grip to large blown out loamy tracks. only thing I've had to change is springs. and maybe oil once in a great while. the pistons have been in for all of it.
