+1 here. I also have 6 of the 2s 30c 4000 packs I been racing for more than 3 years. I have one Nanotech 6600 That I haven't used much because it only fits in my truck that sits most of the time. But the little I've used it, it seems to be a great pack also.
I'll never use anything else!

I have 4 of their 5.8amp 2s hardcase batteries. They seem to work better the more i use them. The first run after they sit for some time i have one cell that likes to drop more than the others. After a couple runs, they charge and balance great. I swear it does not seem normal, but I'm basing it off of my charger readings.

I think that phenomenon is quite usual for lipos? I have seen the same on several different brands I've used. I found that storing them at 3.7v/cell helped a lot in reducing this affect.

Guys, in a nutshell what's the main difference between the normal turnigy nanotech and the a-spec packs? Can you actually feel the difference? Are they worth the extra?

From my experience, they are not noticeably faster than 6600 Nanotech but they run significantly coller (10.5T boosted TC). It's up to you to decide

Looks like Hobbyking is doing something new to help check there packs. Got these card with both my new 2s 5000mah 60c's:

Also, I've had a ton of zippy and turnigy batteries before. I like the zippy's better at first but now the turnigy's. I'm pretty sure they are owned by the same people. I had a zippy a year ago with an 8c charge rate! Then turnigy took over all the high c charge rates and zippy's are only 1c now? seems odd...

Can anybody tell me how *long* this pack actually is: Turnigy 5600mAh 4S 14.8V 60C Hardcase Pack - Removable Leads?

I was going to buy a couple of them for my eBuggy with an RC8Be battery tray and I am finding it hard to believe these packs are 164mm long when most battery trays are 148mm or so. I didn't want to go with two 7.4v LiPos in series, but I just may have to.

Thanks for your help!

They are indeed that long. I bought one the day they were added to the site and the reason that the dimensions were corrected.
I find it hard to believe they can't find somebody to read a caliper or ruler. Not only are they way too long to fit in most battery trays on the market, they also happen to be very heavy as well. Almost 200g heavier than the 6500mAh 4s I bought as soon as my refund came back from HK.
Why not go with Pro-Match or SMC for a battery? It's only about $20 more and you will actually receive product service if you need it.

I really appreciate the response, I was going to buy new packs tomorrow so this was a timely response. I am still not totally sure what I want to do for a pack now, those were affordable enough to buy a couple of them. I still have eight 1/10 other cars running on hardcase 7.4 LiPos so it sort of makes sense to buy a few more 7.4 packs and run them in series so I can use those packs with my other cars too vs. having a dedicated pack for my 1/8 stuff.

Then again, having to deal with extra connections of running in series and constantly worrying that I have a cell dropping low and no way to monitor it kind of sucks.. Time to start shopping again I guess, thanks for the suggestions for SMC and Pro-Match. It might come as a shock, but SMC is on back-order. LOL

Thanks again!

Sweet! Another option.. Thanks for the links man! I poked in the SMC LiPo thread in the electric offroad section and SMC expects a new shipment this week. If that doesn't happen (they have been waiting since January) this looks like a great alternative. I have always run Gens Ace or Tenergy packs and am realizing fast that 4s batteries aren't as abundant.

Thanks again!!
