Tekno SCT410 Thread
Just make sure your device supports OTG. That's the problem I have with my Note 3 7.0 tablet - it doesn't support OTG. So, I have to buy another new tablet that supports OTG to run the app. I found a tablet at Walmart for $69 that will work. I'll probably get that one, so I won't feel bad when it gets thrown in my pit bag!!

Hi guys,
I just picked a sct410 to compare it against my Losi 2.0 and try something different. What is a good starting set-up for semi-loose dirt track? Also are there any weak areas on the truck that I should address during the build? I already purchased the aluminum servo horn and wheel hexes. Thanks.

Freshening up my truck. Lots of setups around for clay and all seem way different from each other. I like the stock setup minus braces plus electroclutch with medium springs in it, but I could deal with a bit more liveliness and less understeer mid-corner under power. Small-ish high bite indoor clay. Got some Fioroni pistons to try as well. No huge air, but I'm guessing big holes on top? Setup sheet links or tips appreciated. I have the v1 truck as they first shipped if that matters.
Going to try this setup since he's using Fioroni pistons: http://www.teknorc.com/tekno5/wp-con...r_med_bite.pdf

I dont know if its a real weak area on the part but i did break the inner Rear plastic suspension block. Once so i bought a extra set of suspension blocks . Im guessing you already have the better shock springs and HD saver spring.
But thats it ! The stock setup for the most part will work on the Northeast outdoor tracks . The only things i did was going lighter on the shock oils and stiffer springs 1.3 pistons on the Rear an 1.2 Front. Ride height higher for the tracks with big jumps and rough, and went with 5,7,3 . Oh and calmed down the steering from what it was at .
Depending on what kind of surface the tracks you race on are like i removed the center an rear chassis braces on lower grip tracks . And more anti squat on dry tracks.
You will like the truck though ! Try the truck as stock setup first though .
RX8G2 and the Hobbywing 3656sd 4700kv best combo I have ever run. I have all the torque and top end that I could ever want and the thing runs great temp. wise never put a temp gun I use the finger burning its too hot method and its never let me down. Save a couple bucks go with the SCT Pro ESC but if you want the whole enchilada go with the RX8G2, I like enchilada's.

Just pulled the Sct Pro and soldered in an RX8 Gen1. Can't wait to try it on the track!!
Has anyone tried the HPI megabites or Megagrids? If so can you tell me what foam you used? Bought a set of both gonna try on my SCT410 but the foams don't really fill them out that well. Even 1/8 foams are slightly loose feeling.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

I run the HB beams and Megabytes in pink compound. These tires are BIG, oversized, and soft so they tend to feel funny by hand. Run the AKA red or Proline v3 foms as they're a tad bigger and fill up the tire a bit better.

The Hobbywing SCT-Pro is a great ESC and in no way sub-par to it's competition. I've been running the ESC and motor combination since it's release and have had zero issues running both the 4700 and 4000kv motors.
My RX8 v1 failed twice and fell in love with the hobbywing after I made the switch. Soon after, I bought Hobbywing for all of my RC cars.
I can easily afford the Tekin RX8 v2, it's a good ESC. I choose the SCT-Pro because it's a great everyday ESC.

Tell me step by step how u build them. I will try then and if I can't get it I'm gonna build em emulsion style. Like I said it might be the csi bladders I'm using, it's very hard to get the cap over and tightened down on them without them coming off which at that point it's no good.
When choosing other bladders look for the edge and compare to stock. If it's higher the bleeding holes might not get closed enough.
I can't stress it more build this truck stock first and go from there. It's not a Losi 1.0 where you need all the shitznitz right away.

Actually, you might be surprised. Even though my RX8 / HW4000 combo both can run sensored, I don't bother. I haven't been able to tell the difference.
