totally agree In my case i`m running a tekin 1500 kv 4038 motor on 5s , it runs cool and is fast easely faster then a 2250 kv motor on the straight away .

Well thanks to good old PA weather my local track has moved the opener to the following Sunday, darn it! Wife and I are expecting on the 21st. So I won't be racing for a bit. Sometime I'll get this bad boy on a big outdoor track.

Personally, if i was trying to maximize run time I'd go 1350kv motor and a 6s pack. If you are just running w the nitros it doesn't sound like you will be held to any roar rule 4s packs and higher voltage, low kv setups tend to be more efficient.

yes true low kv will get longer run times i get 17 mins on my 1500 kv 1350 gets about a 30secs to minute more on 6s depending on throttle management

UK hardcore is the 1550kv on 6s working out for racing? Or is it too much? Also going over batteries - thinking two 3s smc lipos for my 6s setup. If I wanted to go 5s does anyone have good recommendations? A combo of 2s + 3s will be needed cause im using 2 battery setup. Recommendations would be appreciated!

Ask SMC, may take a few weeks but they can make 6s packs.
Also if you don't mind soft packs you can get gens ace packs as well that are drop in.

1550 on 6s is pretty fast and you have to gear it as small as you can fit, if you can get the 1350 on 6s it's perfect and allows some gearing options.

Anybody coming off another top truggy to compare this one too? I run a sct 410 so im 90% sure I'm going with this but looking at mugen and serpent too. What packs are everybody running to make 10min easily? I noticed a few not making it the distance at lcrc this wkd. I'm running the 4s smc shorties in buggy and they make it but I kind of doubt they will in truggy

I like mine. Everyone that drives it says is incredibly smooth and easy to drive. i came from AE and mugen. In my opinion if you own an AE just throw that in the trash where it belongs. The tekno can work the technical sections of the track better than the mugen. even if they beat you down the straights you will rape them in the corners

I ran at LCRC this weekend and ran the SMC 6500 4S packs with the 2000kv Tekin Gen 2 motor. (Truggy can)

I made a 10 minute main with 2 practice laps with no issues.
