Anyone know where I can get some 24mm spoked wheels in different offsets?

maybe someone can convince these guys to start making some if there is large enough demand to make it happen:

I shot them a message a while back which is just one guy (me) making the request, but if everyone on this thread made a request, then perhaps they may see there is large enough of a demand for them to start making them for us

Tamiya has some 24mm +2, but other then that you would just need to run wider hex's if that is what you are after.

I've also had luck in using 4mm countersink spacers to push back the wheel another 2mm off the hex; not as fancy, but gets the job done in a pinch

What would be even better would be a 26mm version of the tire. Hope that's not pot stirring. Since it doesn't exist there is no use arguing over it.

I ran my 24mm Rides last weekend on 26mm wheels hoping they would work because of the wider variety of offsets available and they hooked up great in the main (once I got the same offsets on the front and rear or the car) and I almost kept up with Bill. BTW Bill, I found the set screw in the pinion came out that's why my car stopped running in the 12 minute main with 90 seconds left.

I down loaded a spreadsheet from the USVTA website that calculates Final Drive Ratios for various cars. For the Cyclone TC, this spreadsheet the FDR calculation is incorrect unless you have the 16 tooth center drive gears in your car. My TC has the 18 tooth gears that came in all three TC kits I bought. For the 18 tooth the multiplier should be 2.1667.

I just looked at the race results and our fast laps in the main were only apart by 0.08 sec, nice driving! Now we need to sprinkle some magic dust on our motors to get our cars to reach the same top speeds that Steve's car is getting, ha! (Yes, I'm shopping around for a new motor and hope to be even more competitive soon )

Sorry to hear you lost a screw, just before the start of the main Wayne lost his during practice too, out of a field of 8 drivers, only 3 finished, it was a brutal race for sure!

Very glad to hear that the 26mm tires are faring well.. I might mount of another set on some 26mm's to see how they work for me too

What is a good starting FDR for a snowbirds size track with these 21.5's?

probably 3.5, I'm currently running 3.3 on a medium to large outdoor asphalt track with motor temps hitting close to 130° after a 12 min main.

who's 21.5 are you running?

Turnigy TrackStar (old silver can) with a 3Racing heat sink fan combo. My car is currently the 2nd fastest at our local track, well pretty much a 4 way tie in top speed down the back straight with several other drivers. The guy with the fastest motor is running Tekin and I think he's at a 3.3 FDR too.

is the trackstar legal for USGT? or just at your track?

Regardless, our track doesn't require ROAR approved motors, they abide by Texas EOS Rules which allow any Spec 21.5T motor

well that's just f'ing awesome I was considering getting one, but it wasn't on the roar approval list - unless I just missed it, which is completely possible since i'm blind at time
