Default EB48.2 Build Video

I really enjoyed making these build videos. They really helped keep me focused on getting the job done. The first build was Serpent 811 nitro buggy which really made me appreciate how spoiled we are with these Teknos. It tool almost 2.5 hours longer to build the 811 versus the 48.2

REAR TRACK-WIDTH Question.

So 2mm hex hubs in the front and Stock Rear hex hubs will really lock the rear in come out of the turns?

Today I seen my buggy would fish tail on power coming out of sharp turns. I have to be easy on the gas in order to keep it from fish tailing or washing out.

I change my Throttle curve some, but I didn't like how it felt.
Then I tried turning down my epa Throttle not sure I like it.

I'm running 1mm front hex hubs and 2mm rear hex hubs.

Could this be my issue?

+2 rear hex's will loosen up the rear traction, try the stock ones again.

You'll find the rear won't come around as abruptly. It will make it a little more controlled, which is easier to catch with the steering wheel.
This is in general for a looser track which I run into a lot.

Also 4k is pretty low for the center diff in loose conditions. I generally run 5-10-5 in loose conditions. It take some of that power and puts it up front which also helps the fish tailing.

Also, the looser the shorter I run the rear wheelbase so I'd start by swapping the 5mm of spacing you have and shorten your wheelbase.

I also clamp the power down a lot the more loose the conditions are. I normally run about 60% or less punch on the vtx8 so I may turn it down even more to control wheelspin coming out of the hole to say 40%.

Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that A Main Hobbies has the new updated Aluminum Center Differential Motor Mount Part #TKR5210 that comes stock on the ET48. I called to confirmed this before I ordered and I received the mount the other day and it is also confirmed by me. I attached a picture for those who don't know of the updated.

Hey guys,

I had a great run yesterday with my car. I ran the same set up as last race but bumped my rear shock oil up to 35wt from 30wt. Now im running 35wt front and rear. We had some real fast guys show up prepping for our state race next month and i finished 3rd overall. I had 2nd locked up for most of the race but I flipped the car hitting a bad rut mid corner. I was right behind the leader when this happened all in all, the car was great!

So stock Rear Hex and 2mm front?
Or stock Rear Hex and 1mm front?
Thank you for your insight.

For my Driving style I brake before a corner and I try to keep a tight line around the corner then I accelerate hard after the Apex to the next Obstacle. Just like i do on my ninja Or in Motocross. I feel more comfortable doing this vs. bulldogging the turn out of control than trying to hang on to as I try to exit the apex. This is why I like a really low diff oil IN THIS BUGGY. Also, thinner oil in the rear can easier to control when accelerating. I did try many of the tekno setup. Once I went to this diff setup it was NIGHT and Day. FOR our Track. I really Thought going thinner in the rear will Increases my cornering Traction?

I thought the more Toe in the rear to a Point you gain more stable exiting on-power before for loose blown out track?

But I will try what you said. So over all rear 3 toe in with the BMI Racing pills?

I understand your thoughts on this. I know at times lower diff oil in the center can help on blown out track. And driving style do effect diff out too. I will test what you posted sir.

The shorten the wheelbase maybe what I’m missing too. Great!! And less punch. Time to poop out the viper card. Thanx sir.

All great info.
