For me, USGT is about scale appearance and without it, this class holds zero appeal to me. It's all about the aesthetics first and foremost or I'd run only touring cars. Running super narrow offset wheels that tuck far into the body absolutely kills the look for me. For that reason alone I'll never run a 200mm body in USGT.

Thankfully, our club runs USGT rules, but with allows any treaded tire so we're not limited to such a lackluster wheel/offset selection.
I know what you mean. Even with my 190mm Audi R8 body, 2mm spacers give the rear spec tires/wheels a more stock looking appearance. I really like the way the spec tires handle & probably will until I see you zoom by my up in Austin. BTW what other treaded tires are you using? Besides the old HPI X patterns I'm not finding much - but I may not be looking in the right places

Jeebus, Sam. My eyes! MY EYES!!!!!

John, hopefully next time I come down to race with y'all I'll bring my bucket-o-tires. I know I have some belted HPI X-patterns in there. You're more than welcome to try them out. Not sure if anyone else down there is interested in USGT, but we can help build it up. I just need to get another 21.5 motor...

...and an ESC.

Hi, I run a 200mm Audi R8 LMS Body but I run it with a Kyosho TF-5S which
is a 200mm chassis. I have no problems with the scale looks. See attached photos. Regards
Norman2
PS: No problem with offsets.

That looks great, but it's a 200 mm chassis so I should hope it looks good with a 200 mm body! Mine (and I assume most) are 190 mm chassis.

We are just starting the USGT class at my local track (SpeedWorld, Roseville CA) and I am very excited. I just ordered the tires, wheels and a 911 body. I hope this class really takes off.

Thanks, BTW I have a 21.5 and an extra ESC (tekin with blinky software - so I'm 100% USVTA legal now). Bring USGT car and tires down and we'll run USGT. Next race here is the 15th. I'm going to try to get up to Austin the 16th to get some USGT action. My car runs great by itself, but need to see how the gearing stacks up with some competition.

PS my catarac surgery went well and I'm now seeing nearly 20/20, so watch out now that this old man can see again.

Finally finished my Sakura D3 FWD racer!

It has an internal ratio of 2.0, modified steering linkage, sway bars, servo and battery position.
