My radio is a modified turnigy 9x airplane radio (running er9x), maybe that have someting to do with it?

Ill try connecting a servo tester on the trottle to see if i get the same reaction.

EDIT:
I just tried to use the program box as a servo tester. I could not get the esc into reverse. Tried to set the pulse as low as possible, but no reaction :/

Airplanes radios. Try moving the throttle trim all the way down to negative. When I tried my JR12x, I had to do this just so that the ESC can recognize neutral properly.

Thanks for your replies!

Ok, i fiddled a little bit around, trimming the trottle. No difference. Seems like the esc is recognizing the neutral position properly...

I also updated the reverse graph, as I discovered the previous was a bit off:

Edit:
Im starting to understand. Thinking it must have to do with stick sentering...
Any idea how to test this?
Ive tried to adjust the trottle dead band, but without luck...

Not exactly sure I understand the graph, is it lag.... then reverse curve? or is that starting off in fast reverse, going to nothing, then following reverse curve?
Do you have the radio setup as a simple 4 channel? if so try swapping the 2 channels around at the receiver and see if it is the same, which should tell you if its the radio causing the problem. Also what mode is esc set to ?(forward brake reverse or forward reverse) also do obvious things like calibrate radio first, then calibrate esc(to radio), if you havent already

Ha! I was doing the same thing and going crazy. Finally had a "Duh" moment and all works good. I am using the SkyRC software and all works as it should. I am able to read and write to the ESC with no issues.
The only snafu I have is the program defaults to Chinese instead of English on startup. Other than that, working great on the PC and/or program card.

Just want to check which esc are you using, is it the skyrc or turnigy

You are correct. Its starting off in fast reverse, going to zero speed and then following the normal reverse curve.

My radio is an opensource 8ch airplane transmitter. I can mix a lot with my channels and switches. I tried to have the negative part of the stick on one channel, the positive on the other and then combine these to another channel. By offsetting the negative part, I would like to skip the first 20% on the reverse (so that neutral (0%) and -20% is the same spot). But it seems like the radio is interpolating and the effect dissappears...7

I also tried to set trottle to another channel. There is no difference.
Also changing the reverse speed will do no difference. The startoff reverse speed is constant!

EDIT:
Finally! I found a solution!
By making a custom switch, which set the trottle to zero when trottle is lower than trottle offset. (SW1 - v<ofs - THR - 0) and setting offset to -20, the radio jumps the first 20 on reverse. I also had to split the trottle channel in positive and negative direction (forward and backward as trottle is higher than offset above neutral)

Dirty fix, but it works!

Not sure what you are going to use it for, but I got this one,
Turnigy TrackStar 1/8th Sensored Brushless Motor 2350KV , it is a good match for the turnigy esc and a 1/8th buggy.

Thought I would through some info out there.....
I ordered 2) TS150a this christmas from ebay on special... and a bluetooth module.
Just so you know they are not water proof.....LOL yes I smoked one right before a race this last weekend.....
But other than that they both worked awesome, smooth power....bluetooth module is great easy to use.
I am going to order another one. I think I am going to mod them with a epoxy fix so as to make them water proof, just to prevent me from burning another one. Yes I am lazy and use water to clean my buggies.

My buddy was at that raced and told me that happened to you after washing you car off. You would think more electronics more water resistant these days.

Hey guys, could one of you tell me which setting in the program card does the current limiting? The translation leaves quite a bit to be desired. TrackStar 150A btw.

if you read this post,http://www.rctech.net/forum/12899954-post30.html , it tells you the available options and their meanings in a little bit better detail, if you want to check the original version go here, ##w.hobbywing.com/uploadfiles/sx/file/Manual/HW-09-80.pdf, it is for hobbywing but the options are very similar.
I don't think you can current limit, but maybe altering the throttle curve will achieve the same result, depending on what you are trying to do
