A new blade measures 3.84 wide. OD across pin mount is 9.97. ID is 5.73. Associated blades are smaller and XRay are bigger.

They are a lot smoother under power in turning situations. A lot of guys have adapted other brands to the EX. Google PO-SDT035 as these are the TOP ones that came out as an optional part last year. They are good units.

The only thing I don't like about the TOP CVD is the inner bearing is a 5X10X3 and not real common so its a little more expensive. But a nice thing is They work real good when you want to swap between a spool and a diff depending on the track. Using a Yokomo diff with TOP outdrives all you have to change when swapping is the plastic blades. So you can have a spool and a 2.5mil diff that can be swapped in less than 5 min.

So I finally got to drive it today. 38° out. No overheating issues to worry about. (That and my 7.7 FD)
I'm completely new to brushless so first I was impressed with the quietness of the system and the smoothness. Next I was amazed at the increase in run time. 20mins of driving and when I came in to discharge the rest of the battery and waited another 3min for the lights to go out!!
The next thing I was shocked by was the handling of the car. The last TC I had had a ball diff up front. This spool makes the car turn HARD under power. Very cool.
Lastly, the rear wing fell off my HPI BMW M3 GTR during my run and I was astonished how much the handling changed. It's what caused me to stop driving.
Overall tho, I'm very happy with the car. It's quiet. Butter smooth and responsive.

Hi guys,
Anyone know of a replacement for the 5mm x 8mm x 1.5mm o-rings for the outdrives of the Micropro diff ? Mines are leaking no matter what I do. I've tried soaking them in WD-40 for a few nights but that didin't help; they barely get softer and didn't swell by any perceptible amount.
I build my diff with green slime on the o-rings, and properly shimmed. It's not my building technique, just crappy o-rings. I found some 6899 HPI o-rings online but from the look of it they're just the same kind of solid hard rubber instead of a real silicone hollow o-ring. Not sure though. Traxxas Jato diff O-rings *look* like they could be a fit, but I couldn't find their measurements anywhere.
Next option is spraying motor brake cleaner on them to make them swell but I'm reluctant to try, for obvious reasons. Gluing them inside the case with CA is of course not an option, let's be serious.

If that's the diff I'm thinking of, it needs to find its way to the garbage can, and spend $40 and get another full sized diff.

It's arguably a perfectible diff, but for the special application I'm using it in, its lightweight makes it perfect. It just took forever to break it in. I'm using it with some 15.000 CST fluid to get a feeling similar to a regular 4-satellite diff with 2000-ish oil.
Anyway I've found o-rings that are the right dimensions and which look like they could be an improvement ( they're of the orange-red variety). I've also ordered rubber sealed bearings to help with leakage. Overall cost is 7$ including shipping.
