I know you'll disagree with me on this, because duh, you've built them before. You know where most everything goes. But a beginner or even a pretty good racer who's never owned tlr would tell you it was anything but a well thought out build process.
I completely disagree about the manual!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first Tekno was the EB48 a year ago and I remember telling my friend how easy and detailed the manual was...maybe it's cause I'm very mechanically inclined and that's why I found it to be so simple or maybe it's you. I guess I'm not sure cause I never asked anybody how easy or hard the manual was and don't ever remember reading that the instruction manual was difficult.

I gotta commend Tekno on a sweet manual and kit. If this was your first build, you wouldn't appreciate how good it is. The manual is very clear (only a couple mistakes), the bags are well labelled, 90% of the plastic parts are not one part trees, and there aren't a bunch of unnecessary extra components....just a small few. I give them an "A" on this effort. The only reasons it is not a A+ is that the smaller inner diff shims are not mentioned on a supplement sheet nor updated in the online manual. And reason 2 is there are a couple of incorrect screw lengths mentioned.

As for the assembly, most of it goes together really well, with just a couple acceptable hicups I came across. They are mentioned in my Build Tips thread. I really liked the flats on the end of the planetary gear pins in the diff.

Ummmm, I think that means that you DO agree. TLR is Team Losi Racing, which is the one he's complaining about, not the Tekno manual.

I agree the tekno manuals were much easier to understand then the tlr scte 2.0 I put together. The sad thing is I had a scte 1.0 before and still got confused. I had tons of time for the tlr to be put together and I still had issues with what screws to use. I had 3hrs the first night and 2 hours the next morning to get the tekno together for a race and it went together perfectly. I made the race and was tq of the c main. There was an f main that day. I happy with that.

lol, worst manual still for me was the one that I downloaded for the MCD 1/5 Scale RRV4 4x4 buggy I had.

It was basically just some blow ups, with it not being really clear what screws went into what. Being new to 1/5 scale, was just too intimidating for me to feel comfortable working on it from a assembly dissassembly point of view so sold it.

to me at least, having a clear manual is very helpful.

I agree that the Tekno has a great manual. X-Factory also does a great manual

After about 5 laps I knew this was the buggy for me. It was not too aggressive but if you pushed it it would not get upset like the tekno would do sometimes. Don't get me wrong the eb48 is a very good buggy but not for me. I love my sct410 and will be keeping that. It drives sooooo good! Every time I came off the drivers stand I had a complaint about the buggy. The mugen just need some fine tuning but the box stock setup is good. I am more consistent with the mugen then the eb48. The eb48 had a twitch to it that would throw me off.

I did switch the emulsion shocks on the eb48 and it did help a good deal. The mugen still just drove better and felt more comfortable with it on the track. I drove scorpions Et48 and it has the same issues as the eb48 so I just bought a mugen truggy.
Man,I'm in the same boat, except I love the buggy and just can't seem to get the SCT were I want it???? I thru the electrics in my DESC410 yesterday, and liked to piss myself...lol The differents in the to trucks could not have more night and day??? Like you said, not all models work for everybody, and My SCT410 will be up for sale soon..lol

Thanks man!
Ya the icy snow makes it pretty slick, that's why I flew off to the side and missed the landing.
I can't wait till summer to see how this thing really flies. I plan on spreading gap between the the jump and the landing another 10 to 15 feet. It's to easy to fly past the landing. I was barely even on the throttle.
