I put the bottles in some hot (not boiling hot) water for a few minutes when I am using anything over 10k. Makes the oil flow much easier.

I don't spend enough at Tower to get a coupon like that one. That's a Gold member coupon, right? Or does Tower consider you to be an international customer?
Ya that was the dec gold coupons, save 120 on 660, save 100 on 550. Hard to beat that combined w/ free ship. Snagged a et48 on pre-order and the eb48.2 w/ the 100off. They get me every year... LOL

I may have asked the last question before. Sorry if that's the case.
Yes they are included just be careful as they can blow personally I found stock too thick

I was planning on going with your 10/15/5. I have 5000cst Associated and #10,000 Kyosho. I just have to source some 15k. I assume Losi's CS is their abbreviation for cenitstokes, right? I was thinking of mixing Tekno 20k with Kyosho 10k to get the 15k, but that will only work if both are cst rated.

My typical 8ight-te base setup, which has larger diff gears and cup, for me for years has been 7/10/3 95% of the time. I suspect you are on the money.. that too is what I was going to start with 10/15/5 (losi oils) with the smaller gears and cup it should give that feel I like.

This is the third parts / car shipment in a row that UPS has screwed up. One was over a week late (paid for 2 day shipping), one never made it at all, and this one is delayed 4 days already. I wish A-Main would switch to Fed Ex.

That's what I'm running I wouldn't mix diff fluids to make a different weight I am using AE front and rear and losi 15k in center

Has anyone built their truck with a Viper or Hobbywing 150A speed controller and a truggy motor yet? I'm curious to see how it all fits in the allowed space.

If mine makes it in by Friday, I'll have the Viper speedo and T8 2000 in it. You may be able to get an idea browsing for pics in the EB48 thread. The most successful install I've seen requires taking a Dremel to your HW 150A speedo to make all the wires exit the bottom of the ESC.

The HW, relative to this chassis, is much bigger than the RX8 and a bit bigger than the VTX8. The VTX8, like the RX8 doesn't have any wires on any of its sides. So any speedo like this that is smaller than the HW will fit without modification to the chassis or the speedo. As for the fore/aft space, the HW and VTX8 (by published specs) are 8.5mm and 8mm wider than the RX8. The T8 truggy motor is 8mm longer than the buggy motor. It's gonna be tight. Based on the pics of the ET with RX8 and truggy T8. Here a pic of a Viper in a EB with buggy motor.

I may have to gnaw into the side of the servo mount to get more room for the Viper. I should be able to do this without cutting any portion of the standoffs since the Viper has large chamfers on each corner.

I understand designing with part interchangeability in mind, but an extra 4-5mm between the motor mount and steering servo would have been nice. Not everyone wants to use an RX8. Not everyone wants to use a buggy motor.

I am using the largest esc/motor combo on the market as far as I can see. The novak activ8 and novak ballistic 8 motor. The motor is 43.5x71 and the esc is 40x54x31 and it is a super tight fit. I cut the side of the servo mount a little the make a little more room. Even with that modification there is still very little room between the esc and motor. I would say about 3 business cards could fit between them. I also had to get the esc to be solidly mounted to the esc mount because the flex in the chassis was making the esc and motor to hit each other on big jumps and hard cornering. I got it to work but using this large of electronics is not ideal for this chassis. It was designed around using a tekin system.
