Hi. I have recently built my Tamiya XV-01 and are nearly done. I have fitted the electronics and I am about to calibrate my esc and motor. Then disaster struck I think. One of the plugs on the sensorcable have been broken and I am nervous about what`s going to happen if I proceed.
Can I fix this myself, does that tiny cable matter? (there are 6 on the socket) It is the plug at the far end of the socket that has come loose.

Sensor cables are relatively cheap and failures relatively common. It is however, very important to have a good one on there to ensure proper sensored motor/ESC operation. Some ESC's/motors can also run in a sensorless mode, i.e. with no cable at all but then the motor will cog at low speed and be generally not as smooth as it would if it was sensored.
