The 44.1 uses all of the ballast.

Its a real pain to cut the ballast.
The weight is made of very hard metal ,even with a hack saw takes real elbow grease to cut..
That's about where I ended up on my 44.2 but I used the 7g wheel weights from the local parts store that are way cheaper than the ballast weight and lets you add and remove weight when you want to (and easily)

Is anyone running the 13mm mod rotor in the reedy mach2's? I am running an 8.5 and it seems to run fine, but I was wondering if the 13mm rotor might be a little better.

In general, going bigger on the rotor will make more torque, and make the powerband smaller. You'll also run hotter as there is less air gap between the stator and the rotor.

I mounted mine on the servo at a 45deg angle. Helps avoid switch off from impacts.

If you're running Tekin, just cut the switch and solder the two wires together.

I ran the car for the last time at our indoor track last night. the car felt good and was fun to drive, but I lost 2 ball cups and an arm in practice. wheeler is a novelty class here, so I will probably get the rpm arms when they come out. I am driving the car at like 80% effort so I dont break.

Bugle Boy racing. I know there have been some problems with parts availability recently, but i know he makes them to order. So just place an order and he will make them.

Had a great day yesterday with my 44.2. I've decided the car is a pusher on power and an over-steerer off power and part throttle driving is just how it's made to work. So much fun to race! It is frustrating that AE still hasn't gone all metric yet. Pretty please?

yeah, it drives a ot like my t4 with the massive off power and push one power. but more like a buggy and less like a truck. I am really liking it.

I ran my first race with my new (used) B44.2 yesterday. Wow what a car! I started with a set-up sheet from AE and adapted from there. In practice I tuned in the slipper and removed the 80g ballast weight. Once I did that this car was on fire. I was running a Novak Pulse with a 7.5t motor and it was plenty of power for the car. My Panther Rattler Clay rear tires and Proline scrubs worked well on the medium grip tight clay track. I qualified 3rd against some top competition and was running 4th in the main when I made a mistake over a jump and rolled it causing the rear half shaft to pop out. I need to either shim the shaft or limit the droop now.

Love the car!!
