for $10, I will too. Honestly, when I put the sc10 front/rear on, I could not even feel the difference on the track..... granted the sc10 truck felt like crap everywhere to me. I am a buggy guy, and severely dislike SC trucks because they drive like dump trucks. But I will say this, I broke 2x RPM arms on my sc10, I sent them back and they sent me out replacements for free, so yeah. This is a "fun" class for me, I am not going to the worlds. Plus, maifield would not have broke at the worlds with rpm arms, muhaaaa

yeah, I am gonna try to push for Mod buggy in those cases. The mod guys are mostly sponsored and will all spank me with 2wd cars anyway, lol. I dont really feel like having a 7lbs truck pancake me or drive me into the pipes

I am lucky we have a Wheeler class of about 12 cars every round of our winter series. 8th scale dropped to 3 cars so I dropped it for 4wd Buggy. So I will make it 13 now. Love the B44.2 so far and with a little more tuning I hope it will be a blast like 8th scale is.

OK I just weighed my B44.2 and it came out at 1844gms. The weight distribution is as follows
B44.2
1613 1844 = 231
LF 423 420 RF 46%
LR 493 508 RR 54%
50% 50%
Is a 46/54 front/rear OK for a medium traction track? I could remove the ballast weight to reduce overall weight and balance it out more. What is your experience?

I dont run the balast weight. It made my car feel like it was pulling an anchor. Plus this car tends to over rotate as it is so once that weight is in motion its hard to stop it like a pendulum effect. But to each his own.

Hard to get an accurate measurement with shocks on. Preload, ride height and maybe one or two other variables will throw off the corner weight measurements. Solid rods in place of shocks will give you an accurate number.
With that said, this kit seems to fly a little nose down so a little ballast can help, it also depends on your track and your driving style. Really a personal preference and tuning tool.

I installed the ballast weight following some of the set-up sheets. I liked the feel in my first tests but I have a lot of tuning to do. My front diff is tighter than I would like and the rear seems to need to me tighter. Then I will try the slipper set-up method that UN4Racing had in his videos. I also need to work out the shock/spring package I want to run. In my RC8,2e I was 47/53 front/rear and it was really good.

The 44.1 uses all of the ballast.
Its a real pain to cut the ballast.
The weight is made of very hard metal ,even with a hack saw takes real elbow grease to cut..
