RC Mart posted a picture on Facebook of their kit having the bonus parts so I'm hoping RC Market's supply will also.

Bought mine from RC Market as well. Bought a couple extra parts that are hard to come by here in the US as well. My LHS gets their tamiya parts and kits from tower, and currently tower lists the 418 at $770 and shows a stock date of late January. I love all my TRF kits, but I will never pay $770 for any kit ever. Not sure how tower ever sells any TRF kits.

I stand corrected, this is what we were told at the Tamiya Worlds. Where Tamiya was selling the kit a month early for $73,200 yen.

Tamiya said all export kits will have the bonus parts so that's why HK gets them. Good to have it confirmed though.. That's great value when you consider the essentials and spares that are included

I've started the building part of the 418 and so far it goes flawles.
The only thing i've changed are the 0.1 shim plates for the steering (i've mounted 0.2 to have less slop and the steering still moves free) and the O-ring from the gear diff with the option red ones.
For now the car will be build without electronics as i'm still waiting for the protection foil to protect my chassis
But so far the chassis looks really great

Received and built my car today. As has been covered it was a great build with many small improvements over 417 besides the most obvious changes. It looks like it will be a great car to work on. The kit springs are very soft, softer even than HPI blue so I'm not sure what they'll be good for - great finish to them though, like a holographic pearl

I'll hit the track tomorrow night so I'll give my first impressions. As others have mentioned, it is very stiff. Hopefully this means bulk corner speed

Craig, how did you make that access hole on the top of your ball cups? did you just grind each one by hand?
