Default Associated B44.2 Thread
Just picked up a .2 Roller. I am considered to be a good 2WD SCT & 2WD Buggy driver. I can also hold my own in 4WD SCT. The 4WD Buggy is entirely new to me so any advice will be appreciated. A friend of mine said the 44.2 is similar to the SC10 4x4, but different. LOL.
I am looking to run a 6.5T motor or should I start higher like an 8.5 or 10.5. What spurs and pinions? I hear it's ready right out of the box. Also advise me on spares cause I know I am going to need them. Thanks in advance.

Spares: lots of arms if its your first wheeler.
Stock spur, look over the past few pages for gearing on those motors, 21-23 or something.
Be very easy on the throttle till your used to it, these accelerate out of a turn like a F1 car compared to what your running now. Set some expo in your ESC or curve.

Yes, bumpy out door. I will drive it more before making changes. Because I am getting used to it. Yes over jumping makes an awful sound. Strangely, it kinda drives like my t4 in the corners. tons of off power steering. I was say though, its kinda crazy, now much traction it has. makes me realize just how much wheel spin I have with my mod 2wd buggy.

No, that sounds perfect as far as my experience goes! LOL. Each time I go off the big jump, I cringe thinking my electronics will die.

If I were you I would buy heaps of 81 spurs and whatever pinions you have cash for (18, 19, 20, 21) as Ive found the 22 bogs a lot and doesn't offer anything useful…..
testing testing testing! have fun!
also, UN4RACING is +1 for tips...

These two items together cost $50 new I want 25.00. Normal wear and tear from usage. As you can see, I polish the studs for a little more bling.

Im considering buying a b44.2, since the B5 is rumored to arrive soon how big is the chance that they will be out with a new 4wd the same year?
It would suck to buy a b44.2 now and a new 4wd will pop up perfekt for the outdoor season.

My advice, if you want to run 4WD, do it. There won't be a world of difference between a new car and the old one.
