the chassis here:

http://www.exotekracing.com/sc10-4x4-lcg-alloy-chassis/

If its the V2 version, it can use the SC10 4x4 saddle pack mounts based on what the description says.

Anyone know of a manufacturer besides Exotek that has aluminum shock caps for the sc10 4x4? I like the Exoteks but their a little pricey.

The Exotek LCG part # is 1162. Is this the V2 one? I just ordered one from ebay, but I noticed it does not say V2, just part #.

Hey pal....I told you it would work!
This thread is a great source of info and I look at it from time to time just to see If I have missed anything good. That 4.5 is scary for inside at our track. Hell, Im not running too much timing or boost on my Reedy 5.5T and its way too fast. SLOW is fast...

See you at the track buddy

It was a running change about a year and a half ago. Part number stayed the same.

Starting an SC10 4x4 build, what fluid should I put in the Differentials? Also anything else i should know about when building the kit? I'm hoping to be able to competitively race with this when I finish. Thanks

Assuming you have an SC10 4x4 FT kit.

From there, I would suggest that you:

- Identify the conditions you plan to race it in
- Locate a setup from a local racer and / or, find one on AE site that best matches your conditions
- Make sure you have 0.5mm shims in your kit to put under the sun gears in the diff, when you do this, make sure you DO NOT put the shim between the diff cup and the diff case (an addendum should say this)
- Watch for any binding when building your transmission cases, you may need to SLIGHTLY back off the screws till it feels smooth if you do, if its real bad, contact AE for a new diff case

Now, if the conditions you are racing on are large loose tracks with big jumps and or loose tracks in general and you find you do not have the rear traction you need, probably the first hop up I would try is the M2C rear toe in block at maximum toe setting. I found when using this, it really locked in the rear end. Its even a nice hop up to have right away since you can set it to "stock" as well as a variety of other settings quickly.

From there, there is a variety of different hopups available that work well, one of my favorites being the Center Diff from RC Shox. Its not cheap, but I felt the benefits were more than worth the price.

Any one here successfully get a hard over tray to work with a FT brace?
Modify the over tray. I do know of Outerwears and have one on order but I want to see if any one has done it. I use one on my Sc10 and it does a great job. Where I race the kits get very dirty in a short time.
Two Qualies and a main.

i am using the jc under body
make sure not to cut the spaces out for the nerf bar until last because the under body will be higher than stock.
