I run the ESC on an Avid shelf with the 5mm spacers and the receiver servo taped on its edges against the battery compartment, shorty lipo and Avid centering kit. Balance is awesome. I then tried lowering the shelf 4mm and it threw the car off. Lost traction and the "feel" was off. Weight balance and positioning is noticeable change but nothing beats track time and practice. Which seems to be in short supply lately.

Do you think the centering kit is worth it even without the ESC mount?

I'll have a few Vision RC ESC shelfs for B4.2. Anybody want? Send me 5 bucks thru my Paypal and I'll put in an envelope and send them your way. Bought to many and have not used them. Sitting in my box. PM if interested.

So as it stands with the B5 suppose to release in January, don't upgrade me other b4.1 to big bores?

Hey guys, I have a couple questions.

What exactly will shaving the U brace in the rear do for the buggy?

I'm going to run the Avid esc shelf. Is the Avid motor centering kit worth the $$? Is it a good upgrade?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Well I out a top deck on my buggy to see what that was going to do it works for high traction situations im not sure on the centering kit but I weighed my buggy with my shelf on it and the wiring and the left to right difference is only like 15 grams the left is slightly heavier but I like how much more consistent the esc shelf was left to right just because it was balanced better

I run both the AVID shelf and motor centering kit on my B4.2 and I think they are both worthy purchases. The motor centering kit is basically 2 upgrades in 1 as it includes the AL top shaft.

If you plan on keeping it why not go with big Bores?

Look into the TLR BB shocks. They are dirt cheap and perform excellently!!!

All you'd need are springs which are $60 a set. either way you'll spend half of what you'd spend on Associated BB Shocks.

Until one of those "sources" turns into AE making a press release, nobody here can say when the B5 is going to be released. The "B5 thread" is not a reliable source of information.

Why does the kit come with different shock spring cups? Which should you use?
