Now I know I said the Losi 1.0 for cost effectiveness,if money is not a major issue go with the Tekno SCT410 in my opinion it is the best short course truck on the market as we speak. Team it up with the very cost effective Hobbywing sct and 4000 or 4700kv motor and you have yourself a truck to be reckoned with on any day,(as long as you can drive her straight). Like I said its the best on the market in my opinion.

I'm think I'm going to get an scte roller then get the electronics. What electronics should I get if I did? Or should I get a sc10 4x4, those are the two that I'm thinking About but still open to other cars

I thinking of getting an scte roller 1.0. If I did what electronics should I get with a reasonable price? Or an sc10 4x4. Which one should I get or what other short course cars

A castle Sidewinder System. It's what I ran in my Slash 4x4 and in my Helion Dominus.

I second ChuckTee's opinion.

I have all three trucks slash 4x4, scte, and sct410 and the Tekno is hands down the toughest most trouble free truck i've ever run. I started with the slash 4x4 and i've poured $$$$ money into and still drove like a rinky dink. Bought an SCTE roller and hopped it up pouring in $$$ and had issues with slop and binding. Decided to stop spending so much money to just get an RC to run consistent and reliable and I ended my "quest" with the sct410.

Tekno SCT410 rock solid, runs like it should, works like it should, and takes the abuse of a bad driver and asks for more.

I have a Blitz ese with only 2 runs I would be willing to sell. The ese is the race version of the truck in case you did not know. PM me if you are intetested, 2WD has died here and I won't be racing it now.

2wd sc is not dead. it's a true drivers class.

its just that some racers just wanna race at breakneck speeds and burn up tires (ie: 4wd sc)

some of the best races I've been in were 2wd sc races...

That's weird cause here in Vegas, 4x4 SC is COMPLETELY dead, hasnt been ran in club racing in months, whereas 2wd SCT (Mod and 17.5 Blinky) are two of the biggest classes. The only time you see a 4x4 truck, its in the novice class. Not to talk bad about 4x4 or people who drive them, thats just the truth. Wish there was a class for them, just the local interest has died.

but relating to the topic, maybe try a SC10 4x4 or a cheaper 4x4 truck since youre starting out. another thing to look at is whether you can get parts locally since 4x4 are heavy and carry alot of momentum, which in turn causes parts breaking. Just something to look at.

How about going to your local track and see what they are running first. No sense getting a 4x4 when no one runs them. Slotmachine was referring to his area, not generally.
