Back to the original issue, what pinion are you running?
Sorry cant help ya with org question. A lot of tips to try were already posted. 70/30 is almost standard and at least I need more travel to the throttle and less for brakes. This is preference of course.
I am running usually 17 or 18, sometimes 19.

I drive at the same track with Orion Pro R 10 ESC. With this I can use from 2...3 thoot smaller pinion and our top speed is about the same with same setup and battery.

I saw some really nice looking wiring jobs a few pages back....How are you going about adding that loom over your wires. Are you heat shrinking the loom before you solder or hold it back and shrink it after soldering? Weird question, i know.....

Not a weird question. I started with the 3 wires already soldered to the ESC. Then I figured out how long each piece of loom needed to be and cut it. Next I stripped the 3 wires and tinned them. After the wires were cool enough, I slid the loom on and cut my shrink tube to the length I wanted. Slid the heat shrink tubing on over the loom and lined up the end of the shrink tubing to the end of the wire insulation and shrinked the tubing on. I let it set for a couple minutes and then soldered my wires to the motor. Really easy to do and makes the wiring look a little better.

Hope that helps ya!

Tekno, have you thought about offering shock shaft bushings for upper eyelet to be sold individually so we won't have to buy a whole parts tree? And maybe made of a different material like delirium so they won't wear as fast. I'm starting to obtain a bunch of shock parts in my parts box due to buying the tree to just replace that top bushing. Just a thought, and I'm sure everyone would be stoked about it.

I did in a SC10 4x4 and it wasn't bad. Not sure if it would stand up to a Pro4HD on 2s, but if you were running a 3s or 4s setup I think it would hold up fine. Just not quite as smooth as some of the other brands.

Unfortunately, the SCT410 will be too much for the castle MMP, it will certainly work but will most likely over heat and not give you the performance you would want. You should look more towards 8th scale ESCs as this truck is as close to 1/8th scale as you can get.

The 3656sd is smooth as butter and makes a great (cool) noise when you hit the brakes kinda a whine or screech cant quite put my finger on it but you can tell whose got one by the very sound of it...
If you were to get rid of one of the motors which would it be and why?
I'm still trying to learn all this motor stuff and want to make sure I don't regret my purchase.

Really no matter what especially if you are intending to race. The MMP would be great for a 2wd SC or a really light 4wd but the tekno is quite heavy. you could try using it but i think it will temp out very quickly

+1 Besides a couple of inner hinge pins the upper shock bushings are the only part that has worn out on both my 410 and EB48. I just installed new ones last night and they seem to fit tighter than the originals.
