I'm thinking of going crawling this weekend either the 9th or 10th.
What do ya reckon we have a little get-together?

Hi bud,
I dunno what's going on, thought I set for this thread to e-mail me when new posts were made, so I could catch up with you guys for a run!
Sunday that day was prob a bad day for me anyway, as I was racing that sunday
At the moment, I haven't fiddled much with the "chunda", but wouldn't mind catching up with ya bobbi, so I can sought some issues I have with her at the moment, mainly being sourcing a set of shockies that WON'T snap on me during hard work!
Anyway mate, throw us a line, would like to catch up with ya.
Cheers,
Azza

Hey what's happening on the crawling scene ? I've not charged a battery all year for anything , racing just don't fit in with life at the mo but a spot of "follow the leader" in the gorge could be the tonic a guy needs .I guess I'd better get my shit sorted eh !!

Hiya guys.
I've been outta the loop for a bit, busy with a few things so I haven't had a chance for RC.

Hoping to organise something soon. A few repairs and spare time and I'm there.

Default gorge crawl

Hi guys,
Just wanted to say, like the other guy, I haven't charged a battery in a while, and the Tundra needs some repairs (gear selector servo and 110mm shockies) done to her.
Other than that, I reckon I'd be keen for a run once me and the missus get back from Vic late this month.
on another note, I have just purchased one of them GoPro HD Hero Motorsports cams for my bike racing, but it could easily be used for a spot of rc crawling. Would make for some great footage I reckon.
Give us a shout out if you guys are keen.

Cheers,
Azza

P.S. Has anyone got any suggestions on what I could use for a shift servo?
I was running a Traxxas 2056 waterproof servo, but it burned out somehow, unsure sure if I didn't have it set in neutral postion before I put the selector arm on, or if I didn't have the secondary battery system sorted (which I do now).
Do you think this would still be a good choice of servo to use, or are there other options for waterproof servos, as I also wanna run it in all conditions?

Thanks again,
Azza

Talking I wanna get rockin

Hiya guys.
It's been a while since we last had a bit of a run but i'm keen to get out among the rocks so.
What say we get out for a crawl on the 18th of September or the 2nd of October?
Place : Barron George
Time : 10:00am till we break stuff or run outta juice.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Tundra in action azza.
The Traxxas servos should be sweet for a shifter and for steering.
A constant strain on a servo could burn it up I spose.

Hey Gilly. It'd be good to catch up with ya too mate. You've caught enough fish by now.

Charge them batterys and fix ya bits. Lets get rocking.

Hey Kenny , have charged the batteries and only lost one out of five ( god you gotta love lipo's ) and there was nothing on the crawler that needed to be sorted , even ran the SC on a battery for 21mins so I think I've got hours of crawling on tap !! Mind you the weather site has seas flat and winds at 5knt for Sat and Sun and it's only a 30min run to the reef on the jetski !!

Default sinking feeling

Question - how do crawlers handle water ? Answer - about as well as submarines fly !! Should be right for the next outing , hopefully that will be soon

Default scale crawlers in cairns

a necro-bump for this thread to see if anyone else has any scale crawlers and wants to get together for a crawl.
There are a few of us with Wraiths that get together regularly, usually Stonies or Palmers are good local spots.
PM me for more info if interested.
