On the Reedy 737 there is no balance plug on the batteries...so...you dont balance them like a full size pack. You need this:

The white plug would plug into your charger/balancer.

If you have never rebuilt them (which it sounds like) check the backside of the diff rings and thrust rings. You may be able to flip them. Otherwise get some 600 or higher sandpaper and sand them smooth, plenty of writeups on it.

I recently got the buggy used, and the diffs are pretty gritty. I'll see how the rings are, and sand if needed.

Looks right, this is the sequence you'll connect it.

Also make sure you have some motor spray/brake cleaner to clean the grease off the parts along with diff lube (PN 6591) and black grease (PN 6588).

I would also replace the gears while you have it apart (PN 3914), they're only $6 or so.

Take a good close look at your balls to ensure they haven't worn out. I always replace them when I rebuild my diff. I rebuild mine about twice a year, although I don't get a lot of track time in (once per week if I'm lucky).

I normally get the AE kit for the rebuild. I also just ordered the Avid Carbide thrust bearings to replace the PITA thrust diff bearings.

I agree that you must inspect and replace suspect balls. if the diff is over 6 months with regular use, just replace the balls, its not expensive.

I'm on my original set of balls after 48 years. Still trying to wear them out. :-)
