Thx, I was thinking that too, I need a personal transponder. Also I'm pretty good on batteries so maybe a motor or esc to have an extra like u said. Also, Always nice to have a 3 turn under your belt. Haha thx

Honestly, you don't really need anything, Sam. Even though I would prefer you run Associated, if you're comfortable with your current cars, then you should keep with them. Do yourself a favor, though, and switch to WS Deans connectors for your batteries. Other than that, get a few more pinion and spur gears so that you have more gearing options and you'll be fine.

Don't switch away from that speed passion esc. You won't find a better one out there! Just tune it with the box that was included. And of you haven't already calibrate it correctly. Will make a hell of a change!

In my opinion, for short course, the 17.5 blinky or stock class is run most consistently at most all tracks and is generally where to start....

For 2wheel sc, we usually have 2 full heats of racers in the 17.5 class for nearly every race. The skill levels range from beginner to experienced. If you are interested in checking out a race, we have one tomorrow at rchr. Also you can have a look at our race schedule on rchr.biz for more information on upcoming races.

agree with everything that will said. i actually first started rc and racing with a mod short course. it was way too fast for my skill level at that time. i was crashing, as i didn't have the throttle and brake control needed to handle a mod motor. i then put a stock motor in and began running more cleaner laps and not crashing. subsequently, i ran faster laps than i did with a mod motor at that time. basically, stock will help you to run clean, consistent laps without crashing, as the speed/throttle is more controllable. when you're able to run consistent laps in stock, then try out some mod motor. the speed and power is awesome.

in addition, as will stated, there's always guys running stock short course.

bottom line though, run what's fun for you. both mod and stock classes are a ton of fun. hope this helps
