Default What esc to use?

Hey I recently bought a 17.5T sensored venom motor, I have a Losi esc that supports sensored motors. now it came with a 22 rtr I once owned and was running a 13.5T motor, can that esc run the 17.5T I have? If not what esc do I need to buy? Thanks.

Should be able to. A 17.5 should use less current than a 13.5.

yup, bolt it in, it is a slower motor so you will want to change your gearing, probably add 3-4 teeth to the pinion, you can then race in the stock class with the 17.5 and use the 13.5 for mod or open.

Just to add, it's a lower turn motor that you need to be careful with. In general a lower turn, like a 8.5 for example, will use more current, depending on the ESC may burn it up. The ESC should have a minimum turn rating specified.

If you have this one it lists a 13.5 turn limit for example. Although it's not real clear on the minimum part.
