Oh and speaking of front arms....I did the o-ring/front bulkhead mod a couple months ago......have only broken 1 front arm since I did the mod!! And only reason I broke that arm was because I was bragging about the o-ring mod and proceeded to purposely slam my car into a pipe to demonstrate it's toughness......apparently the arms can take a lot of abuse in normal situations....but full throttle into the pipe finds the structural limits very quick hahaha!!
On a serious note, the first race I did after doing the o-ring mod, had a straight that was probably a good 150-175' long....I cartwheeled for about 80' of it once...and I finished the day, and have been club racing weekly since, on the same 2 arms. (until last week haha)
I'm SOLD on that mod for sure!!
You can see the o-rings in this pic (just shock o-rings)
the width of the hinge pin holder was .545" before shaving it down. I shaved off .070" worth (o-ring was like .080/.085 iirc) so final thickness was down to .475"

I usually don't have too many broken arms, but when they do break, it's always when I'm way out front or on a TQ pace lol. (Murphy's law!) but my 9 year old son on the other hand goes through spurts where he breaks an arm darn near every round...or goes 2 months without breakin one lol. So I figured I would try it out on my car and see if it helped, and also feel for myself if there were any adverse handling characteristics...and so far, it's been an excellent mod. I've done it to my sons b44.2 now and so far so good!

They are as stiff as carbon , not sure how they will take a hit but the extra stiffest should prove to be a game changer with the B44 performance on the curves ....

Do u think the harder arms will be brittle in colder indoor tracks??

new arms are more of a tuning option for
higher traction conditions.
Lets both hope they even tuffer..
I did install the rear Hard on my B4 & have 1 club race with ..
They feel just like the rear carbon arms except you will be able to use the B44 sway bar with ...

Looks like you just shave the hinge pin holder from his post and place the shock O ring. I will be doing this tonight

Stock setup 35/35 or with green rear springs 35/32.5. Base setup in the manual is a good starting point and you may not change from there.
OC/RC? Base setup green spring 35/32.5 add a washer under the inner rear camber link.
1/2 ballast or no ballast, some like it, some don't.

How does the B44.2 handle larger outdoor tracks? I mainly race 1/8 nitro, but our track has a major electric meet coming up, and interested in getting a 4wd and 2wd buggy to have a crack at 10th scale.
The track is a 1/8th scale track and low grip. Not huge jumps, but some nice medium rythym sections which can be rolled easy enough if need be. Would be looking to go to a mod setup. Are there any weaknesess on the buggy when running a mod motor?

Amost everyone runs a mod motor in this buggy, you will be fine except for if you went with a crazy 2.2t or something 
I haven't ran it on a outdoor track, maybe others can pipe in that have but it is about as durable as any 1/10 buggy can be. You may bust an arm if things go wrong, but that's any vehicle. As far as the driveline and everything else, its ready for racing.
The new HB wheeler coming out looks like the plastics are pretty beefy and can take some punishment but who knows how long till it hits the shelves. I won't say how its different than the rest, but it is and it looks very promising.
Back in the day I raced 1/8 nitro buggy and my friend and I picked up Losi xxx4's to mess around with before races and they would keep up with an average 1/8 driver... maybe not the faster crew but a mid packer so they are fast. But that thing would break if you made a mistake. Or even if you looked at it wrong.
This buggy is night and day better as far as durability goes so to me its a tank. But compared to 1/8 you do have to have respect.

Cheers mate. Wouldn't be that crazy on the motor, probably a 5.5-6.5 or something like that.
Hopefully someone else can chime in on how the CF chassis handles looser dirt, aluminium seems to be flavour of the month these days on buggy's.
Any must have hop ups out of the box?
