You'll have to let me know how they mount to the chassis. And how much it weighs if you can. I was interested in them but figured i could make one without a shit house of holes in my chassis.

Do you guys see much in the way of tradeoff of having a higher COG with the ESC mounted higher vs. the weight balance of having it on the side? The Tekin RS is only 24g, was thinking I would just add a little weight to the Rx side to balance.
Oh, I got one of these on the way! Going to run 2wd buggy & SCT indoors and 4x4 SCT & ebuggy outdoors

Yes I do realize it. But I think its work a try I wss going to try it behind my shorty pack but I didnt have a shorty pack so this is the next best thing. I guess if I like this I should like it with a shorty pack assuming I like the shorty pack

Right, so stick to it next time (because none of what you just claimed, has happened in the last couple of pages) instead of just making horrible assumptions about parts that,
A: you don't run
B: you can't share your personal experiences with, good or bad...because A.
C: you wouldn't run anyways unless your "teamates" told you too.
The rest of us seem to be more open minded and like to weigh out the pros/cons of things because maybe, just maybe, we don't build/race/drive/maintain our cars according to the WC gospel of RC.
I've said it sooo many times, to each there own...no need to put your .02 in, or talk down to people because they choose a different road to go down than you and your teamates.
Anyways. I hate putting people on ignore, (because even the biggest jackass's post something worth remembering, every now and again) but damn man you make it hard NOT to.

I personally felt like the inline mounting of the electronics reduced the "pendulum" feel of the car and made for a much more balanced feel. It very well could be mental, but the car seems more linear in the way that it breaks traction. It's hard to explain but I personally like the feel of inline mounted electronics vs side mounted.

Or make the speed control tray longer for the receiver to fit.
Make a lipo hold-down wide enuff to mount the speed control on it, an get rid of the tray? That in turn would kinda lower the COG.

Cus I like you ?
When ever you post off topic about my personal instead about the B4 ?
Will post a image of my PINK ride for you to enjoy ...
I need to tell you guys the set up changes of late ....
There kinda interesting to some that need to know ...
1st
The shelf ....
It is used only for the Roar rule ..
It does add a little extra roll to the car ....
2nd
Centering the electronics's helps the handling with more equal or balance steering in each direction.
That's why were doing ....
Putting the ESC in the battery tray helps lower the COG of the car, smooths out the roll to the car .
*Really recommend doing over the shelf method as it offers the best handling .
Pistons & oil
The Taper piston offer quicker rebound , so when the car lands & needs to turn ?
will respond & turn much better with the taper design .
Been using
front
3 x 1.4 taper 35w , green spring
rear
2 x 1.6 taper 32.5w , white spring
Of late ..
also using a shorter camber link , now outside stud hole on rear U brace ...
Why ?
For improve rotation on sharper turns...
note : the 2 x 7 gram weights on top of servo
why ?
For improved on power steering..
AVID Triad slipper tune tip ....
Install a RED pad next to the spur & then a white pad ...
Why ?
Improves the acceleration for the jumps , stops the slipper from ramping up just before the jumps ...
all these tune tip are for med high traction indoor clay

Busch Light....seriously?!? That's for cooking brats or feeding the compost heap.
I thought any inline ESC mounting technique made inflight corrections easier too. It makes getting at the rear toe block and/or anti-squat shim a pain in the butt but it seems worth it.
