Default Airtronics M12

Does anyone else have an issue with gliching or signal loss on larger tracks with there M12. I was on an outdoor track today and in 2 of my 3 cars I noticed a loss of signal in the back corners of the track. I have no issue on smaller indoor tracks. But I had this issue a couple months ago when I was on a larger outdoor track. I'm still using the double AA batteries, should I switch to a life or lipo battery?

I was looking to buy that one but saw the sellers posts regarding the issues. Just figured that's why he was selling.

I hope not.
the radio is super clean.
I drove my truggy about 50 feet and was solid but will find out Wednesday
the rx wires looked real straight and not rolled or kinked. so just wondering how much of the antenna I should run out side the radio box.

If you check the M12 forum they recommend anything from 2000-2800mah lipos. Personally I purchased the one below.
