Wow now that's a nicely groomed track awesome layout.. I would check out houston for any Novarossi products.. Honest guy and he understands what it takes being he's pretty good driver. Can't boast too much I don't want his head to get any bigger being his natural circumference is already pretty big..

Thanks guys for the suggestions. the track is excellent, but being a middle east country its very dusty, the fine dust gets everywhere! the triple jump is the hardest and quite often we lawn dart the 3rd jump. (we run counter clockwise) By the end of the mains the track has a fine layer of lose dirt on most corners.
Most often front shock towers, front diffs, and front shock mounts are the common parts that break.
Hope we can pre-order a NB48 soon!

Once again after driving my EB48 on the weekend I am dying for this buggy to come out as the difference between my current nitro ride V my Tekno is chalk and cheese

Hi,
My question is for Tekno, but it will be possible to ask this to an other manufacturer.
Can we admit that the most common thing in the latest years on the 1/8 nitro market, is to move the weight on the front of the chassis ?
If it's right, why don't you move the rear gearboxes about 15 milimeters toward the front.
You just have to make some new C and D plates or new gearboxes design, a shorter center rear shaft, and you have pushed the weight to the front of the chassis. It will not need a new shock tower if you make new gearboxes...
The shafts, on the rear drive train don't need to be "in-line" compare to the diff outdrives (or diff rotation center axle), then this mod seems to be valid.
My question : if we want to push the weight on the front of the chassis, why don't you move the rear gearboxes but with the same rear arms position, with the same wheelbase ?

Its not so much as moving all the weight forward, its about balance. Looking at the current line of buggies its already a tight fit in there. But having the longer strecthed out chassis makes the car more stable.

Actually the angle created from the outdrive to the rear hubs does make a difference. Not sure if this is the "technical" name but i have always referred to it as dogbone sweep. and in your example that would change.
for example: moving your rear hubs forward shortens the wheel base, puts more wight on the rear, and adds more dogbone sweep. which gives more on power traction.

Thanks to all of you for your answers and opinions.
I don't know if I have really well explained because you are talking about having the rear axles swept back or forward, but my question was with the same rear arms positions, so with the same rear axles positions. I'm talking about move forward the gearboxes only. I agree with the angle of the rear drive shafts. The angle depends of the system you use (CVD - CVA...), but all the systems have an angle limit. If you take a look at the maximum angle you can drive with yours (on EB48 or NB48), you will see that this angle is not reached even if you move the gearboxes about 15mm.
I know we can't compare CVD and CVA angle limits, even if they are closed.
The situation I'm talking about is the same with the actual front drive trains.
On the front drive trains, because of the steering, this angle limit is reached on many chassis brands, and it doesn't seem to be a problem. But I agree it's with the CVD system. I just think that CVA system can drive with a diff swept forward, because the angle is the same with the shock travel. If you can have a angle about 25-30°(between the outdrives and the shafts) because of the maximum shocks travel on the rear train, whatever it's for shock or a diff swept forward, the result is the same for the CVA system.
(I hope you will understand me, my English is not fluent, I don't really know if I use the right words).

As I think I am going to start off new everything with this buggy
Any hints on a good starter box will be great please so I can get it and have it waiting like the rest of my goodies

Hey, I just got the new issue of RC Driver that has the reader choice awards. We wont talk about some dumb choices, but one I got a kick out of is the nitro buggy. the AS rc8.2 won, but 2nd place went to the Tekno NB48.......right in front of the Losi 3.0 ! LMAO
