Default Novak Havoc Pro issue ??

Hey guys and girls, I have a Novak Havoc Pro in my SC10 running a 9.5 in it.
it never got hot or shutdown or anything, but it has developed a weird fault I wonder if any of you have had.
It'll run just fine, but about every 20-30 seconds, it shuts down for a about a second or so.
No power, and no brakes either, but I do still have steering.
I swapped it other with another speedo without changing anything else and the problem goes away, so I am sure it's the speedo.

Anyone ever had or heard of this?
Could it be just the power cap?
or is it pooched??

many thanks
Stu

Does it flash any error codes on the LEDs?

Ah yes, good question.
After going through setting up all the lights read no faults.
I did previously have a flashing green LED but that turned out to be a motor sensor board fault.

I've had similar issues... Try to get a look at the LED's right when the issue happens. My bet is that you are getting a brown-out, and the ESC is shutting off for a second. If that is the case, the red and yellow LED's will blink a couple of times after the ESC shuts off and is starting back up. My truck did this after a hard landing, wreck, etc. when the steering servo would draw a lot of amps trying to keep things in line (drawing more amps than the BEC can hope to supply). You don't happen to use a Savox servo, do you?

KO servo.
We looked for LED flashing and couldn't see any, although it is possible.

Thanks for the ideas, I'm not sure what to do with it now though, as its a perfectly good speedo, but l one out of warranty and I don't know where to get it repaired.

Replace the capacitor on the esc. Same thing happened to my brother. The wires came unsoldered underneath the shrinkwrap.
