Me too. Turbo wheelies, battles for the lead, and podium finishes....oh the horror.

So I guess it's Tekin's fault you bought a used electronic item from someone you don't know and it didn't work. Gee, maybe I missed something here.

It's amazing that I bought nine Tekin ESCs over the past six or seven years and they all worked. I must really be lucky then .

The one that didn't work was due to operator error. (Tekin replaced it for free even after I admited that I was at fault).

Seller refunded funds, I hate these kind of transactions. It's more than what I thought I was going to get back. I have another RS that started smoking as soon we plug it to a lipo and the switch was in off position. No, it wasn't plugged in backwards. It lasted about 6 months and was used about twice a month. Can dirt cause it to short out? I also get 1,2,6,7 leds and links with hotwire after smoking. Our novaks are still running after many years of service, granted they have no timing. We don't push our timing due not being able to keep buying electronics and motors. I was told to buy LRP for stock classes.

I have been using the Tekin rs-pro for 5 years now, I have a 6 years old one working like a champ, I actually got the whole local track to chsange over to tekin last year, but now it seems like they are all going bad... I had 2 )(brand new in the package), 2 rs pro going bad on me today, one after install cogged and went in to "wrong motor selected", I tried a different motor, reset, software, sensor wire, the works and no go, the hobby shop replaced it for me, the second one...same thing didn't even go to calibrate the radio....I miss the qualls, installed the old rs pro and all worked fine???????
Tekin I think you have issues as there is over 16 bad sec's at my local track all with the same issue "wrong motor selected" i am going LRP.

A 6 year old RS Pro, eh?

Exaggerate much?

The RS has "only" been around since the fall 2008 time frame.

bringning this thread back, I bought a wraith with a rspro and a pro4 motor 4400kv in it, run great but have reverse delay so I try to reprogram it and I got LED1,2-6,7 flashing. Ok maybe I select the wrong type but problem is that when I do push the mode button on it, LED6 start flashing and nothing but cycling the on/off switch will bring me back to LED1,2-6,7 flashing. How can I correct this???

Wish the esc wasn't gone as I don't even have a pack running it!!!

Had that same "motor type" (1-2-6-7 leds flashing) this afternoon.

I only had time to run 2 laps then poufff, the b44.2 stopped.

A friend suggested to unsolder the motor, so we did, and the RS Pro was ok.

We tried soldering my Pro4 4000kv on the Rs Pro and it worked!

I thought my Redline 7.5t was in fault so I went to the shop and bought a Redline 8.5t.

Came back to the track, soldered the 8.5t.... ERRRRR... still that "motor type" error.

I'm the 3rd guy at our track to get that problem in january...

That sucks.

Problem solved:

The "B" wire on the RS Pro was badly soldered and broke (we couldn't see that, it was under the heat shrink).

By moving the buggy to weld the Pro4, the wire has probably made contact again with the Rs Pro to skew the result, letting us thinking that the 7.5t was in fault.

Default Pro 4 overheats when I plug in a Sensor cable.

Hi Guys: I bought a used SCTE with an RX8 and a pro 4 4000 kv motor. It runs great.
I noticed that the seller hadnt hooked up a sensor cable, so I bought two generic 6 pin cables from a LHS.
Whenever I plug in a sensor cable, the motor cogs badly and overheats in about 2 minutes. I unplug the cable, and things are fine again.
1. Is it possible that the Sensor PWB is bad?
2. What can I check to verify if its faulty?
3. Do Tekin sensor wires have a typical pinout or something special?
4. Is running sensored a big improvement over Non-Sensored?
BR Jerry (Obviously I have no Idea what im doing)

Encountered this problem today. Any help? What caused it? Theories and criticisms are most welcomed
