Anything from 1000-3000 diff oil would do well in those conditions, especially feel better than that thick grease used stock out of box for the rtr's. The grease is equivalent to about 10000 diff oil, not good for loose tracks.

I would start with 20/87 and go from there.

Anyone interested in a FT SC10? Brand new never seen a motor. Comes with Jconcepts 12mm axle/hub conversion and 12mm clamping hexes, FT blue batt thumb screws and white RPM ball cups. would like to get $245 shipped Because of upgrades. Note: no wheels or tires included.
Photos avail just can't upload for some reason.

Does anyone know if the J Concepts Rulux3332 SC10 12mm hex wheels - 2.2" x 3.0" will fit on my 12mm conversion or do i "have" to buy their J concepts conversion? I ask because I just bought a roller with the hex conversion with the bearings inside the knuckles. The hexes are plastic with the lips so im pretty sure they are AEs. I want to keep the original offset. All help is appreciated I need to order my wheels so I can race next weekend.

Yes they will work. All conversions are 12mm.

Thanks! just needed the clarification. Seems like they are implying only their adapter will work with the wheels.

Yes you can but you also need to change the front shock tower.

Not necessarily. There are pix floating around in the SC10 Part 2 thread of people getting crafty with the regular body mounts. They just drilled new holes in the new tower or something along those lines.

I have a RTR RS SC10 that I acquired for free, so I threw some money at it, picked up the big bores, new shock tower, arms and body mounts. The new mounts line up pretty much exactly the same as the old mounts did.

Default ft 2wd

I have an ft 2wd sct with a 17.5 in it. I seem to lose the back end it kicks out so easy. This is on a lose bumpy blown out track today. how do you guy tie down the back end. i have no sways on the truck. i was running the shock limiters but im thinking on taking them out. i felt like i was fighting the truck the whole time never ran this on black dirt before. the 4x4 took good to it. What gearing are you guys using for the 17.5 i have a novak. and two of the people that claimed the were 17.5 and none boosted were smoking us the straight. Im at 28 p and 75 spur i think motor temp was 112 with 60 degrees outside today. i did traction role the truck in one spot a couple of time. If i put the battery in the back it got really bad. i move the shock out on the tower to the last hole seem to help a little. Any input would be good.

It sounds like u need different tires. Also are u losing it in the corners or the straights?
