now for someone who feels adventuerous, after you put the washer on, find a aluminum nut, probably 1/4" or 3/8" and thread it on the wing mount post, it will cut its own threads. after they are cut, you can use a nylon nut if you wish.......easypeasy!

Yeah, that's where I saw the TLR22 wing washers. I don't know if they'll fit. I would think they should work, as long as the posts are the same (or close to the same) diameter as the 8T 2.0 posts.

I'll get a pack of them and try it.

That's a cool idea!!! I have threading dies in those sizes. I could use a die and cut the threads in the posts. Then, like you said, get a nylon nut to thread on.

I like that, gonna have to try it!

Thanks for the idea and input!!!

Maybe I'll hit the wanted section and see if anyone has some extras they would sell.

Thanks again for your help Gsnow39!!!
What color are you looking for?

I used to run this in my flashlight and I liked it a lot but it is a lot of unneeded extra weight in a nitro.

I am a big Tekno fan, believe me, but I had that wing mount and after a few messed up landings, it was warped and ended up going back to the Losi mount.

Ive ran the Tekno and a custom drilled Losi mount with nuts and IMO the Stock mount works just dandy in stock trim.

get some good body clips for the wing and you shouldn't be loosing your wing all the time (that is unless your a crash monkey)

I really don't want to invest $50 into the Tekno rear shock tower and wing mount, just so I can attach the wing with screws.

I'll buy a pack of the TLR22 wing washers and see if they will work. I'll stick with the stock Losi wing mount. They're reasonably cheap to replace if needed, and I don't have to change my shock tower.

The Tekno wing mount bolts right up to the stock rear tower, the one's I owned always did...
But stick with the Losi stock wing mount.

Oh, ok.. On the Tekno site, it says you need the Tekno rear shock tower for the wing mount. That's what I was going by. I guess the $15 mount isn't so bad then, if you don't actually need their rear shock tower for it to work.

I agree, I think I'm gonna stay with the stock Losi wing mount. There has been more "cons" posted than "pros" regarding the Tekno wing mount.

Thanks for all of the input!!!

Bonus to the stock losi mount is that it tells you when its tired and needs replacing, the Mount arms will start to tweak and bend in a "S" shape, Once they've been fully tweaked is when i see them break the most. The Tekno mount while it wont tweak as easily as the losi will, It still can fail.

Has anyone tried the new droop screws from the 8ight 3.0 on their 8-T? I need to replace mine and was wondering if the new ones would work.
