You are backwards on the shoes. The Silvers are the Long Life 7075 and the blue are the Standard 6061. The higher the number the harder the metal.

I personaly did not like running plastic in my truck. They always came apart and killed the motor. I ran 3 different set-ups.

1. 4 long life with 2 gold and 2 silver for high bite tracks. Some times all silver springs.
2. 2 blue with green springs and 2 silver with gold springs for my standard set-up.
3. 4 blue with 2 drilled to lighten them a touch with 4 green springs for slick tracks.

I got to the point where I would "weight match" my shoes before I installed them and clocked my flywheel to put the heavier shoes on a specific side to help counter weight the motor. Yeah, I got that anal with it

For the spindles, I think you will need the c-hubs as well. But dont know if the arms will work with the 3.0 hubs and carriers. Havent tried it yet.

For truggy, with a strong .21 engine, I use one of the two:

For high bite/high grip: 4 Losi Blue Alum w/ green/gold springs.

For most average tracks with low/moderate grip, the "drake"/Buggy setup with 2 Losi Blue alum (gold) and 2 carbon (green)

both with the blue/alum lightweight flywheel.

Thanks for the info.

I just got the TLR pre built (tlr9101) for my RTR that has 2 blue w gold and 2 plastic w green. Is this a decent starting point? I see in the included chart that they recommend as their most aggressive setup as being 4 aluminum (guess they mean the blue 6061 since they came installed) with silver springs. What would swapping the silver shoes in for the blues do for engagement? Would they just last longer and not really hit harder bc the metal is harder? There's also no mention of the silver shoes in the chart.

I have the 12deg spindles now I was just thinking the 15deg would help even more on the rough sections. Can anyone verify if they fit?

Do you guys have any tips on what parts to buy to refresh my 8ight T 2.0? I bought it second hand last year and its definitely wore out and has alot of slop. I wanna refresh it and give it new life. I took it apart, put all new bearings in and cleaned it and have done some upgrades such as the aluminum front deck, aluminum rear brace, and 3.0 radio tray. If I wanted to breath new life into this thing would I buy some new arms? Or kingpins? Any tips?

I have a question regarding my 8T 2.0. I would like to mount the wing with screws, rather than mounting it with plastic washers and body clips. Is there a wing mount that will fit my 8T 2.0 so I can mount the wing with screws?

Or, can I cut the little posts off flush, center the wing, drill 2 holes and go that route?

This is my first Losi truggy, so I'm learning all tips and tricks to the 8T 2.0.

Thanks for your help!!!

I have heard of people doing that. But It caused the wing and mount to break off in crashes. Made them to stiff. The wing works great as is! IMO. I recently put the 3.0 buggy wing on mine to take advantage of the wicker bill.

I seen that on PL's website! Kinda bummed me out...

I'm gonna see how well my PL Bulldog body for one of my Mugen MBX6T's fits the Losi chassis. I will need to mod the rear of the body a little, but I want to see how well it fits width wise.

Why would they discontinue that body?!?!

I was wondering if there would be any cons to mounting the wing with screws.

Now... Where can I find the little plastic washers that sit between the body clip and wing? I have 2 new wings, but I need the plastic washers. Is there something different I can use? The washers only come with new wings.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

I honestly don't even know if you can buy the plastic washers separate from the wing never had to. They alway come with a new wing.

Yeah, they only come with new wings, as from what I've found. I wonder if there's something else I could use? I wonder if the plastic body washers would work, or would they be too thin?

Maybe I'll hit the wanted section and see if anyone has some extras they would sell.

Thanks again for your help Gsnow39!!!

I wonder if they're designing a bulldog 2.0 for it. They killed the losi 8ight e 2.0 slipstream last year and now they have a new design for it this year!

Does anyone know if the Losi TLR22 wing washers will work on the 8T 2.0? Those seem to be my only option for getting the washers separately, without buying a new wing.

Thanks in advance for your help!
