Hum yea im still not sure about this class growing i think there still to fast to drive indoors and to expensive/fragile hard to work on . Ive seen a couple of guys practice with them but never enough of them to race.

You do know whats coming back at least at my indoor Carpet track in Bristol, PA and thats open Staduim truck ! They get at least 6 of them sometimes 4 but mostly every weekend theres a class for them but its growing more . So much i bought a T4.1 Factory kit.

Cost is a huge factor. The current B44 is 370, The ZX5 Kyosho is 500, theyre all expensive initial investments. After radio gear and electronics youll easily have almost a grand into it.

Yea thats insane for a actual 1/10 scale even if you go cheaper on the electrics its still a lot.

New people do not need 4wd buggies. They are fragile and require a lot of work to keep them running. Short course trucks have brought a lot of new people into the hobby, but a lot of them have trouble making the transition to a car you can't bounce off of the walls. 4wd buggy is a class for those that know how to drive, and there are just not that many of us left.

I think alot of them just don't want to drive ugly buggies with dish wheels and cab forward bodies. When I had my Optima Mid back in the late 80s, new people drove 4wd all the time, incidentally, the cars actually looked "cool". Yes, they broke, but you didn't care because you were driving an Optima that was just so badass looking, and handled better than your buddies RC10.
