Tekin gen 2 and the pro HD 4300 for sure. I personally use a Orion r10 pro ESC with that motor. That motor is amazing I love it

Tekin RX8 Gen 2 and Pro 4 4600kv if you are racing personally.

The motor is awesome. The most common question I get is, what motor is in your 4WD SCT? This thing moves.

Tekin's support is awesome and you'll always have a large amount of setup sheets to work with as well as others at tracks that will be willing to help.

Agreed, the Pro 4 4600 is better for racing. The 4300 has waaaay too much torque and not as much top end as the 4600.

Honestly if you have the money sure get the RX8 but if you dont the Hobbywings SCT Pro with the Blue case are good. And i actually had good luck with the "Brushless Hobbies LT4 Esc." Even though yes if you have a issue you mind as well buy a other one . Only has issues with because of a lose wire not the esc.

As for Motors personally yes its your money but i think $150 for a smaller scale motor is to much . I been running a Tenshock 401 4600kv from Built RC on 2s with 50c to 60c lipos, and the motor is a beast just gear it right and use a clip on heat sink . I do race no bashing.

And theres the Hobbywing 4 pole motors for the SCTE also around $84.00 !

If your running indoors i would get 4300kv outdoors likely to much torque .

Gear it 14/40 or 15/40 depending on track. Run current limiter at 80, NO timing at all and you're good to go.

I have actually had hobbywing motors and the esc with the blue case and they all blow up on my and my temps weren't to high. But I'm currently running a sc10 2wd with a viper vst 8.5t and a vtx10r and it's awsome but I want 4x4 sct and the tlr is the way to go so the tekin pro4 4600kv is gonna most likely be in the boss with a gen 2 rx8 and a savox 1258tg and some gens ace lipos!!!!

Im sorry am i missing something the pro h 4300 is got way more top end then the 4600 not to mention torque this motor actually blows away the mamba 2400 kv on 3s and thats a really fast set up give or take if you go 4s on the mamba , i know this cause i own both and so does my bud we get on the straight away i`m pull away from him by at least 10 feet that very significant by my standards

Yea it happens but ive seen name brand ones blow up also . Ive had good luck with Escs not blowing up on me with the SCTE im kind of a smoother driver and on the throttle so that could be why.

I heard that the Spektrum 6048 servo is the samething as the Savox 1458 i believe. I been running the 6048 servo and love it !

Geared properly, mine usually comes off at 150. In really hot summer months it can come off hotter, but for $12 you can get a nice heat sink/fan. I run a heat sink/fan just for peace of mind and now matter what the ambient temps, run times, how hard I run it, it never comes off hotter than 140.

If both motors are geared say 14/40 the 4600 should out run the 4300. The 4300 should be able to pull a taller gear because of the 550can and lower kv. I run the HW 4000kv 4pole with the gen2 rx8 and im very happy with it. The HW 540 4000Kv has a bigger rotor in it then both tekin motors.
