SC10 4x4 Thread
Tore my truck down to last screw last night. I bought one used, got a good price so i can sink plenty of $ in it and upgrade it to how i like it.
Anyway, i noticed the diffs and the interior of the case is all full of the diff grease. It really bogged down the rotation of the drive line. So is there anyway to keep the diff grease contained in the diff? or did they use to much and it bleeds out all over the place?
Thanks, Krom.

only 3/4 full will help the oil stay inside
25 to 30 k front diff
5 to 7k rear

Wow interesting, seems like it really bogs the trans down, free spin wise.
25k to 30k diff grease in the front?
OK, will give it all a try, sounds like i may buy a couple xtra trans from ebay and swap em in and out maybe.
Thanks, Krom.

They are specific to the RC Shox center diff for the SC10 4x4. They adjust the diff action. See link below:

I want to get one to try it out someday. I hear this is one of the key upgrades for this vehicle. More pins means stiffer action much like thicker fluid in a standard gear diff.

1 is a different length to the other two.
Take all three out and use the manual to put them in the right holes.
Don't do them up tight. Nip them up and check the diff still rotates freely.
If you crank them up you will crush the gearbox and bind it up.
