The key is not to marry one that is not a great one. Don't settle for close enough.

After reading most of the posts on this thread I'm assuming you might be able to give me a good answer. I have a chance to buy a Cyclone '99 and would like to know if it's possible for me to check it to make sure everything is working OK? Is it true that an ESC either works 100% or not at all? Is there any way to check the BEC? I know I could have sent an e-mail to Team Novak, but I had no idea how long it might take to get an answer. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Dear Evicerator,

My question is when will Novak make a product in a color other than orange! Could you/Would you believe it if Novak made thier stuff in........Black!!! You never know, it might happen someday?!?

2bad4all-- There's really not a good way for you to test an ESC other than to run it and see if it works ok... if the BEC doesn't work then the servo will not run properly...these are things you can get a feel for if you get a chance to try out the ESC. You can always email us at Novak and expect a fairly quick response... we are pretty good about answering emails!

MyVantage-- I will pass on your suggestion to the higher-ups and see what they think. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't mean to imply that you guys don't answer fast enough. I've read that Novak is closed every other Friday, correct? I just didn't want to take a chance and have to wait until Monday. So, if a BEC is damaged the servo will operate erratically? I've been told in the past that an ESC either works 100% or not at all, which I'm assuming that if there is a problem you'll notice it immediately. Anyway, thanks for any more info you can pass along. ORANGE POWER RULES!!! BTW, no offense to the guy wanting to change Novak's trademark color, but it wouldn't be a Novak if it wasn't ORANGE.
