Anyone run the Viper 4 pole motor? I bought one used last year and it ran funny. When u spin it by hand, it clicks over life a normal motor then it skips 3 spots real easy. I know I'm not explaining this very well but was wondering if that's the way it's suppose to be? I had a terrible time with it cogging at startup. More than my other motor. I put my castle 3800 in, and it ran perfect. Actually went from a 14 to 15 tooth pinion gear. So much more power, no cogging, and only 120 degrees.

On a healthy motor all 12 clicks feel the same.

Hello all! Quick noob question...when assembling the front body mount, it looks like I will only able to use the two outer holes on top of the shock tower. Does this sound right? The rear allows for use of all of the hole positions. Appreciate any info.

PS - If this was discussed earlier, I apologize. 500+ pages is pretty intense to search out.

I think you may have the top shock mount on wrong...Make sure the shock mount is assembled on the front side of the shock tower...You should have no problem using any of the shock mount positions even with the body mounts mounted at their lowest setting.

Default Another win with Tekno

Here's a vid from this past friday night at IRH in Long Island,NY 3/29/13
This is only my 2nd time using the truck after the build...

After making a few changes from the stock set up I went from 1st in the B, to 2nd in the A in qualifying....By time the mains came around I lapped the whole field except for 2nd place,,I finished with a 15 sec lead on him.

I'm starting 2nd on the grid in the video.(red body)
Enjoy!

You also own a sc10 4x4? How does it compare indoors to your new tekno?

Attached is what I meant to say. Only the outer most shock hole positions are able to be used unless I make the slots on the body mount longer.

Thanks again!

I flip both around (front and rear body mounts) and the same result. The rear is fine. All hole positions are visible on the rear.

You may have gotten two rears in your kit. Send an email with pics to [email protected] and we'll get the right mounts out to you asap.
