I have both field links and they haven't been a problem. I have had too many Castle ESCs fail (cost me a few planes) and have given up buying them. Have replaced them with HobbyWing ESCs for planes, boats and trucks. Just as good for a fraction of the price.

Yeah, I'm a bit ho hum about having bought the castle. I paid way too much really as I wanted something in a hurry, it was there and I bought on impulse.

I don't think I even have warranty actually.. In spite of it being brand new it was off ebay and I never got a receipt. Won't be impressed if I find myself on the end of a $75 charge to repair/replace on top of postage to the USA.

May consider cutting my losses and going hobbywing.

I've had some issues with the card not working but the castle link working. It was due to the ground wire in the connector being disconnected. The thing with the hobbywings for me is that they don't have a 1/10 that will work with 6s.

I thought most ran 1/10 on 2s or 3s. Sorry, not much experience with 1/10 lately except crawlers. Got into boats and planes a while back and spending most of my time there.

No, you are absolutely correct. I'm the one with the odd setup.
