Castle field link not working
 

Hi there,

Just got my field link and it's not working. Upon plugging it in all I get is a solid green light in the top left where it says 'linked'. I get nothing else.

If I use the USB cable and run it to the pc AND the ESC I also get the linked light, but nothing else happens. The castlelink program does not detect that it is connected.

Did I receive a dud?

No one else had this happen?

Had the same problem. You have to update the field link from castle's sight before it will function. Download the latest version of Castle link and go from there.

Brown wire from ESC is going to the "-" pin on the link? Got everything downloaded from Castle? Could borrow another one from someone else to see if you have a dud or not.

Can't believe I neglected to mention it.. When I first plugged it in castlelink attempted an update. I was seeing the red lights on it prior to this. I guess it's possible the update failed and now the card is cactus?

Is inserted the right way. I don't think anyone else I know has one I can try.

Which ESC are you using?

mamba max pro, brand new.

Castle support seriously SUCKS. Still waiting on a reply.

Go back to the actual castle website and try re-updating.

Not sure what you means. I can't see any options on the castle website to update my field link.

Oh for **** sakes.

Got the warranty replacement. Plugged it into my PC, ran castlelink, it tried to update, right where it should have completed the update the program crashed and I've now got another dead ******* field link. The program won't even stay open with the field link plugged in now. It just crashes. I'm discinlcined to spend ANOTHER $12 posting it down for another replacement that their stupid bloody program is likely to bloody kill.

I'm not happy. I could scrap even bothering with castle **** right now and move to something else quite happily.

If I connect the field link to the ESC and the PC, the red led in the top right where it says 12v flashes. The linked light is on.

I can get the program to remain open one particular way, but the green linked light within castelink program flashes.

I'm so sick of this.

WTS: one mmp, one 10a bec, 1 busted field link.. will take dr pepper as payment. *rolleyes*

So, no one else has bricked a field link during update???
