I have used it for body repair. I have even heard people say they mount tires with it.....it is the duck tape of rc racing, lol

I actually use the triad in my b4. I like it, but I am working through some issues with it atm.

What track are you running with 69/38?? If its a bigger style track I would go 34 or a 35 at the biggest with a 69 pinion. I have never heard anyone run a 38 with a 69.

To anyone that think the bulldog body is ugly, I have to disagree.
Paint it a good color that you like and go with it. I painted mine gold.
Maybe it was the Bulldog body for the T4.2 they said was ugly.
Lots of people at my local tracks like to run the kit included bodies.
I'm kinda the same way. Dont buy a new one usually until my old one gets broke. And that it's usually a Jconcepts body shell.

GOT TORQUE BABY!!!

It's the way our Viper motors are designed.... Big Big Torque. When I put the HT rotor in, it was 40-69 and needed even more... I just didn't have anything bigger than that haha.

and almost everyone here runs 36-38 / 69 depending on their motor and car. Losi guys were a tooth lower than us. When I tried 34 69 my car topped out within the first 30 foot of the straight.......right now I fluctuate between 37 and 38. 37 has me top out about 20 feet before, 38 just as I'm about to enter the sweeper. They run oval on this track on other days of the week so it's wood jumps... that means layout changes every couple weeks.

I have only used the shock o-ring caps and they're awesome. the threads are super clean and they actually have a tighter fit around the lower bushing. The anodizing is good quality and you can use a wrench to tighten them if you want.

I personally would not use shoe goo to mount electronics. This was a huge thing about 4-5 years ago. I did it for a little while and noticed the chemicals in the shoe goo discoloring my receiver and a friend that was using shoe goo to mount his electronics had a receiver fail. Personally i don't think it has the shock absorbing characteristics of regular two-sided tape and i think there is a chance the chemicals in the stuff can seep through the plastic and damage the circuit boards.

yeah, I found a link that says the scotch clear 2lbs tape is the same as the parma. So I might try that. The grey 5lbs 3m is ok, but either never lets go or falls off in colder weather. I started to warm the chassis and tape to make it stick better, ans that helped.

Thanks, I'll probably order a few things here and there because those dang things are expensive........

Ok forgive the question, I keep hearing people talk about testing out your slipper by running it on the straightaway of your track. I've always done it by holding the wheels and see how far the front lifts up. So on the track what exactly are you looking for the car to do, and how do you do this? Thanks

im currently using the parma clear tape since it is readily available at my track and i found if i take some scotch pad to the chassis and bottom of esc it holds on better. In the past i have used the novak clear tape which is similar to the parma stuff.
FYI: If you need some tape that holds insanely good, get the MIP double sided tape. Its the white colored stuff and doesnt peel off easy after use though.

Yeah they aren't the cheapest, i have ordered them off of ebay and for one set shipped its $20. You get what you pay for with them and im really wanting to try some of their other products. I recently ordered 2 more pairs for my other rides i like them that much.

As for the slipper, im running the triad since i got it before the vts was out but am very happy with it. I set it on the bench by blipping the throttle ever so gently and i get it to do about a 1 1/2-2 inch wheelie with just blipping it and im sure it will raise more if i hold the throttle with my 7.5 or 8.5 but i dont want to overheat it. Then on the track i can hear it make the all familiar whine noise as im accelerating hard before a large jump and im guessing for about 3-4 feet and while its slipping its still accelerating keep in mind. NOTE make sure your diff is properly adjusted when checking your slipper.
With my triad i rarely check the setting unless im having trouble clearing something or i had to remove it for some rare reason.
Hope that helps

I do the same thing as well to check my slipper, but if I remember correctly some users have mentioned in the past its not the best way to check your slipper with a stock motor in which I'm running. And they've mentioned to run it on a straight to test it that way. So I was just wondering what you do and look for to test it that way.
